Definitely a proud moment in Teamliquid history right here folks. Yep, it's pretty amazing! GJ guys.

There were a ton of donations from people in the FGC towards naming Tifa ESPORTS, making us unlikely allies.

Btw, after FF7 and DKC2 will be cosmo running ocarina of time...
If you've never seen him run MST (all dungeons and gannon's tower trials), it's definitely worth watching if you have the time. He's the current world record holder in the category by a pretty decent margin, and has improved his world record a few times in the last month. It's a really impressive watch.

Thus, ESPORTS is life. ESPORTS: If you kill me, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.
But Sheath is hilarious.
During the TL shoutout one of 'em mentioned that they could learn something for SDA's webdesign from TL. Unfortunately, they don't have the super wizard R1CH.

"Sephiroth" for Aeris name. So unbelievably lame. Someone beat Sheath by .1 cent at the last minute ...
edit : nevermind, someone else beat Sephiroth at the last second. XD

Believe it was in reference to the sweet graphics in the post by HawaiianPig, but yes, R1CH is indeed a super wizard.

They've raised a lot of money with the FFVII names, but damn this is not an enterataining speed run to watch Way too much text.
I was really digging the metroid ones.

Unfortunately you have to have played FFVII to even remotely enjoy it. And, to be honest, I am disappoint by anyone who calls themselves a gaming fan and hasn't played FFVII...

Ok, so it's only $200 for Cait Sith to be named ESPORTS.
Shall we throw down? I'm willing to donate $50 to kick us off.

Can see it being boring, a lot of RPGs don't make for good speedruns to watch, because they're largely about making an excellent plan and sticking to it. Some of them are down to step-by-step directions for navigation and very specific actions.
Doesn't necessarily make it more appealing to ya, since there are very few 'skill' moments as far as hitting small timing windows you see in action/adventure style games, but it depends on your tastes.

Basically this. FFVII is only really that fun to watch if you've played it a few million times. Then, the nostalgia value is off the charts.

About 3 hours? possibly a bit longer, but that seems about right.

I have a feeling this 'donate for best FF game' may blow up over the next 50 hours, talk about a heated subject for people to throw a few dollars at at a time.

Ya, this is what I'm getting at. I've beaten FFVII many times and I love the game. But a speed run is just not even close to entertaning, imo.
The next run, which I believe is Ocarina of time, even though it is an RPG can make for a great speedrun as well. But FFVII is one of those games where there is literally hours of dialogue. >.<
