You promise?
I'll hold you to that! :p

It is quite astonishing how many of these forum goers are severely mislead by main stream media. People who think Ron Paul is "crazy" and has "no chance of winning" are eating the mainstream BS. Listen to him speak before you create labels like such. He is the only candidate who sticks to his principles and doesn't just answer questions with empty rhetoric. He is the only candidate who wants to end all the wars and he is the only candidate who actually has a shot against Obama (who must not get re elected).
To say that Ron Paul can't receive votes from moderates is ignorant because he actually leads all polls regarding democratic votes for republican candidates.
Don't believe everything the main stream news tells you, do your own research and actually listen to each candidate speak rather than spread quotes from the news, in the hope to sound "informed".

Anyone with half a brain who has watched the debates knows that Newt is very smart. Additionally, he has an incredible depth of knowledge to go with it.
I'm not sure what to say other than "I feel bad for you" if none of this is obvious.

We have all been hearing him speak. If you look through the thread, there are hundreds of Ron Paul youtube clips. Many of us have also watched the debates. Read the thread before posting.
Economist is live blogging again! Let the fun begin.

How many times in this thread have we all read "If you just knew more about Ron Paul's ideas and beliefs you would love him"?
People know his stance, and most Americans don't like it, for various reasons. Maybe you shouldn't just assume that everyone is blinded by the media, and consider that maybe there are other people who pay attention too, and have legitimate problems with his stances on issues.

Also, don't drink the Gingrich cool aid. While he is intelligent he does not have our (the citizens') interests at heart and has accepted millions from national banks, who are responsible for the collapse of the world economy. So please, all of those who are planning on voting for Newt Gingrich, do your research!

Taking bets on how long before RP gets a question in this debate.
So far it's just been Gingrich and Romney acting like children attacking one another and the NBC moderator encouraging them on lol
|
Newt cheated on multiple wives, left them when they got cancer/MS, was brought up on ethics charges, the only Speaker of the House to have such a problem, and was forced to pay $300k for ethics problems. He then had to resign in disgrace and became a lobbyist for an organization that his party hates possibly more than anything short of abortion.
Yeah.... its pretty bad when that is the guy who is leading the family values party.

Stream isn't working =(, and I'm technically supposed to be studying.
LR pleaseee

All out negative warfare between Mitt and Newt. Newt taking credit for everything during clinton and before. Romney not a complete disaster.
|
Oh look it's the Romney vs Gingrich pillow fight.

The real winner of this fight might be Obama if this keeps up, judging from the live blogs.

LR pleaseee Did you click on the play button? That had me confused for about a minute :/
Anyways, Paul is talking about electability, and how he is getting so much support from younger people. He's now saying that he likely won't run as a 3rd party.
EDIT: whoops I guess that isn't necessary
|
I'd probably take Romney over Gingrich if I had to pick between the two... =/
|
Gingrich now saying he wants a commission to look into going back to gold as our currency? Sure is trying to make it easy to reelect Obama.

Nah page won't even load = /. The Economist's reports are hilarious though

According to Gingrich's tax plan Mitt Romney would pay no taxes at all.
|
Damn. Can't get educated about who I'll vote for, have to see a movie with my grandfather. Does anyone know where I could get a synopsis of what everyone said or a VOD?
