Well steroids were most definitely a contributing factor to his death it was probably not the only contributing factor. Possibly drugs and alcohol were the catalyst to his death. But then again steroids is a pretty vague and general term. There are so many steroids out there and it really depends on how much you take and what your taking that contribute to potential problems.
saying don't take steroids cause there bad is like saying dont have sex because of STDs. Just research how to do it safely.
Sucks that he passed at such a young age, I hope his death does not get used for propaganda against steroids. But increases awareness about there potential pitfalls if taken lightly or abused.

If your going to do steroids please do so under the supervision of a doctor and don't mix drugs. In the end its not really worth it. Allot of guys I worked with in the past took roids and one of them tried to kill himself because it ruined his marriage and the others went back to normal size soon after quieting.

Also please cut the roid talk until his death is investigated fully. He was very knowledgable in that field, he'd know better than to randomly inject thai celltech.
Or maybe he was so knowledgeable in the field that he thought he knew better and he really didn't.
Unless you're a doctor specializing in steroid treatments, you can be injecting yourself with steroids for years and you are not going to be an expert on safe usage. After a certain amount of use you're just dodging the bullet pretty much every time, is this going to be the shot that weakens my heart enough that I'm going to have a heart attack?

become a body builder you must have amazing genetics. However if you want to compete you will have to go on copious amounts of roids and HGH.
Seriously though this guys physique was good and I doubt you are as big as him and as ripped without any juice. The human body simply cannot maintain a weight of over 230 pounds while being below 5-8% body fat. You need help or you have insane genetics.

Depends on how long and how heavily he was using them, but you're right you don't usually see 22 year olds dying of heart attacks even from heavy steroid use.
He might have had some kind of minor genetic heart condition that was so minor that no one even knew about it, that body-building + steroids exacerbated over a period of years. There's got to be some kind of explanation for why his heart just gave out.

I think someone can be an expert on something without even going to school for it, Google is a wonderful thing. Granted you have to take a lot of the information with a grain of salt and cross reference stuff if you can't find reliable sources. But most MD doctors don't have much experience with steroids themselves.
Shooting yourself with steroids isn't like that at all if you play it safe and aren't just cruising on 3g of test a week for years. Unless your and idiot and inject into your vein then your pretty much asking for it.

The link states that it increases risk in conjunction with pre-existing conditions. Blood pressure and cholesterol are only effected while cycling. Though steroids do increase heart muscle mass, it would not have had such an adverse effect at a young age from a short period of usage. It was more likely it was the large recreational use of cocaine and ecstasy.
