Here are the options: run: What is there to gain, and these creatures are minions of another forum creature so they should be weaker than our primary creature. It is also the waste of another turn and we have already wasted 2 turns on explore and attack. This is only viable if we though the opponent was over powering but that doesn't make much since since we are more evolved compared to the others until they catch up attack (108) We have already tried this, it was not affective, we don't want to waste another turn attacking when it may also be infective. defend (36) Why would we defend when it would be better to kill this creature. The way combat has been explained is that defending blocks attacks and attacks costs limbs. It seems that if we defend the best we can hope for is to block an attack and hope he gets board and wanders off. If it keeps attacking there is we eventually will need to stop defending and attack to end the threat. I can't see any reason to ever use this option since it just wastes a turn mate (429) If it works we gain more power and the monster is defeated. The only other sensible option would be to eat it but that wasn't a choice here.
Lastly our 10 days no rush is suppose to still be in place so we aren't suppose to get stomped until after that.
If mating fails, we lose a limb, and gain nothing in return. But if we attack again there is nothing stopping us from losing a limb as well. If we Defend then we block if it attacks and now what? do we defend again, at some point we have to stop defending to escape the situation?? That leaves run, as I mentioned we end up wasting 3 development turns and gaining nothing to show for it. I would rather take the risk. Indeed. As they say, you either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain, so I think we should take the plunge (so to speak) and try to mate here. It's a little risky, but it's the only course of action that has a chance of gaining us anything this turn.
Lol, as "they" say? Don't quote Batman and then act like it's a new colloquialism. That's silly. You're silly. I like the cut of your jib.

I consider all of The Dark Knight to be canonical colloquialism. That movie was possibly the best movie I have ever seen. So good. sooooo gooooooood.
Like this mating decision is: good. I'm glad to see it's in the lead.

Well I gotta agree. The new-gen batman movies were great. Both TDK and BB. Although Joker in TDK was most possibly the most perfect choice for the actor/role I have ever seen in my whole entire life.

I KNOW. It's such a shame that the actor passed away... beautifully written, beautifully directed, beautifully acted-- the perfect movie villain. The perfect villain, just like THE GREEN FORUM BLOB.

Being screwed is kinda the goal here actually.

Is that actor like an actor never to be named or have we simply forgotten the name of the venerable + Show Spoiler +'s name?

We'll make sure to clip their fingernails/fingerclaws psionically before the deed is done.

Try to Mate with it ( can attempt to produce offspring with creature. wont work if rival creature attacks trys to eat you or defends Results are sure to be win dont worry.) so basicly as long as he's not evoling limbs/int/str/mating (while fighting...) we're dead because we're mating? ;(
Edit: I mean this is like playing dungeons and dragons for the first time. You're told that the guy won't let you die because of too strong enemies even if they would kill you, and you/we start stabbing ourselves to test if that's true. We're so going to die

I can't believe blue is gonna make it with that nasty ooze

It puzzles me how we can have so many posts going "zomg we're going to mate with it?!?!?!" and yet mate has a clear majority. wtf?
Also, wtf why mate?

There's a silent majority of pro-mating people. ORRRRRRRR we all want to mate, and some of us (like me) are outspoken about it and some of us (like you) put up a facade of propriety when really you want it and are voting for it.
But it's probably the silent majority of pro-mating people.

I voted for mate purely because of the ridiculousness of the situation.
And we should've mated with that red spiky creature as well. That "sword" isn't doing us any favors now, is it?

Look I'm resigned to the fact that mating will be all we do for the next 4 days. You can't blame me. It's Team Liquid.
Vote for the 32 small limbs everywhere and become the tentacle rape wizard!

Couldn't we go for some split of limbs rather than ALL arms or ALL legs or ALL mating appendages? Maybe proportionally based on the votes in that poll?
