Bug comic is pretty funny. I forgot about C&H. Haven't read that in awhile.
|
C&H just recently got good again.
Also read Dilbert(.com) from work.

penny-arcade.com The best webcomic out there. Plus it's so much more than just the comic with their TV shows, conventions, Child's Play, and even the penny arcade video game.

It can be a little tasteless at times, but the comic is pretty funny and sometimes pretty heartfelt. Also, Randy is a nice guy, which shows in his comic. It's kind of long though, so be ready for the long haul if you get into it.

Cyanide&Happiness and xkcd, which have already been named. Most of the time I read www.nichtlustig.de or www.ruthe.de though, because the german nonsense-style humor is my favorite. ^^

One of the original webcomics: Sluggy Freelance www.sluggy.com
Great writing, lovable characters, epic storylines lasting years. If you want to start from the beginning, prepare for a long ride, this comic has been going m-f since 1997.

This one is really nice for a webcomic so I decided it deserved it's own post instead of just an edit. http://www.seraph-inn.com/
Check out Inverloch (finished) and the others. The stories may not be very professional but overall the comic is VERY VERY high quality for a webcomic. I'm a big fan of her art.
She also links to other webcomics which are usually decent also, haven't really read them all but if you're interested visit them. http://requiem.seraph-inn.com/links.html

I can't believe nobody here has mentioned Sinfest yet. Great daily comic that has larger color comics on Sundays. Definitely worth checking out, since it's been updated for a long time now.

OMG I cant believe no one has linked http://www.megatokyo.com/ yet! It´s a webcomic about 2 gamers travelling to Tokyo. I really recommend that one.
|
I used to read Megatokyo, but it isn't really updated that often anymore. I'd definitely recommend reading all the old strip to anyone though.

nobody has posted this yet , it takes some time to update, but the math nerds here will understand it

What the fuck is this? every comic seems to be racism, perverted actions after killing someone, naked men and fecies....

just want to mention that for ASP, there is always a funny little caption if you hover over the comic. in addition, there is often a hidden comic (usually an extra panel) that you can find by putting your cursor over the top-rightish of the comic to reveal a clickable question mark

cad-comic.com threepanelsoul.com xkcd.com omaketheater.com
I used to read a lot more, but that's about it now.

Awkwardzombie.com is pretty good too

Really good webcomics:
http://www.megatokyo.com- Good webcomic with a semi-confusing and decent plot. Really long, maybe 1000+ pages. About two gamers who end up in (mega)Tokyo.
http://www.erfworld.com- War-themed webcomic, interesting plot. This is about a miniature wargamer who ends up in a fantasy world that's just like a miniature war game.
http://www.giantitp.com- Also a good and long webcomic. Based off of a party of Dungeons and Dragons characters.
http://www.meekcomic.com- A nice webcomic, updates periodically.
http://www.wormworldsaga.com- A very well drawn webcomic. It is all one picture and a vertical webcomic.
Other good webcomics: The Phoenix Requiem- Completed The Dreamer- Ongoing

I haven't seen these in the thread but I'd recommend these two.
http://picturesofyou.smackjeeves.com - A story driven webcomic, if you enjoyed the story parts of questionable content you'll probably like this. Since it's updated 3 times a week, every time it's updated the story becomes even more engrossing.
http://satwcomic.com/- Scandinavia and the world! Want to learn more about Scandinavian stereotypes? Oogle at cute characters? And laugh at America? Scandinavia and the world!
Oh and foxtrot, can't forget that.
|
oh my gosh this comic is amazing!!!!! thank you so much :') before now ive only read http://www.xkcd.com which is freakin' hilarious stuff too!
|
DaisyOwl.com - amazing comic that suddenly died (not been updated in a year)
Amazingsuperpowers.com - pretty funny, it's like a less good PBF
PBFcomics.com - Perry Bible Fellowship, not being updated anymore but it's archive are absolutely funny. Standard format is: setup, joke, taking joke too far. Read This.
Buttersafe.com - home of skeleton harvestor. Really good.

It was one of the first posts.
Also, could a mod please add NSFW to electricretard? That was absolutely horrible.

DM of the Rings Webcomics cycle is finished, but very funny rendition of the LotR's as though played by a very controlling RPG DM. I cannot reccomend this one enough. It's written by Shamus Young who I find is very insightful on gaming inconsistencies, logical gaps, and just tends to see though a lot of tired gaming cliches.
Darth and Droids Inspired by DM of the Rings, reexplains the strange inconsistencies in the Star Wars plot as the shenanigans of munchkin roleplayers who can't follow the plot of the DM. Updates 3xs/week
Order of the Stick A roleplaying game told through the eyes of very genre savvy characters. Fairly consistent updates, but can be sporadic (very long archive binge.)
Erf World A fantasy world that's a strategy war game
Looking For Group I suppose a webcomic based of Wow, but I see as much inspiration from pen and paper role playing. Updates regularly
Dungeons and Denizens Based on roleplaying games, but from the baddies perspectives, whose otherwise peaceful lives get interrupted by 'heroes' trashing their dungeon. Sporadic updates
Yeah, I like roleplaying themed webcomics.

xkcd Foxtrot
Occasionally also read Dinosaur Comics but most of them aren't even that funny anymore.

I am not sure why the author wants to make a woman that always speaks in French.

Do yourselves a favor and read thenoobcomic.com. At the moment it's around 350 pages and I've read it at least 5 times.
It stories the adventures of a teenager who decided to play the new mmo trend, The Cliche Quest. Un-fucking-believable funny!

I'm so glad that someone mentioned this; I was beginning to lose my faith in humanity after not seeing it for 2.5 pages. It is honestly the best webcomic of its kind I have ever read. It has a BEAUTIFULLY crafted universe and characters that have actually grown over time.
Honestly, the only other comic I have ever enjoyed reading as much was Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. That may just be my personal preference speaking though, as both do a great job of conjuring mysterious and fantastic worlds governed by ancient laws beyond the understanding of mortals, while maintaining characters that are somehow very human.
