The guy was probably the greatest spy to ever live. Oh and he was from Winnipeg. Awesome. They should make an actual movie (not a made for tv one) about this guy. But General Sir Arthur Curry is probably my favorite Canadian from history. He reinvented how wars were fought in WW1, when most of the British Empire were still fighting with old tactics (such as attacking in waves), by using the Canadian army as a cohesive force to showcase his tactical superiority. He even introduced engineers to the battlefield to properly calculate battlefield layouts and enemy artillery positions(probably the most key thing in their high rate of successful engagements) It is a shame we dont even learn about this guy in school when he was the greatest military leader Canada has ever had. | ||
