1) Socialism, god damn it. The taxes for upper middle class people reaches 60% when you count in indirect taxes, it's crazy. Some of our ministers studied in Soviet Russia and East-Germany, I don't even need to tell you what they think about freedom or the free market.
2) Totalitarianism is everywhere, strip clubs (banned), tanning salons for younger than 18 (banned), prostitution (banned), all foreign snuff tobacco (banned), nationalised alcohol market (check), property tax (check)
3) Schools are becoming easier by the years, schools below university level are getting worse, it seems that the majority of this country wants schools to be easier so that retards can get through them.
4) Crime has been going up, rapes are becoming a common thing and so are random attacks downtown. When my parents were younger it was a front page headline if someone was raped, now it's barely newsworthy at page 16. I don't know why the crime rate is getting higher but the following might have something to do with it -drugs -influx of Lithuanian workers who are usually criminals in Lithuania -but mostly because of retarded Icelanders
5) Having to be 21 to buy alcohol, WTF IS THAT. Lower it to 18, immediately. I started drinking at 16, as did almost everyone else, this shit pre-1970 mega Christian law needs to be abolished.
6) THE WEATHER, HOW COULD I FORGET THAT. It's hot for - perhaps 2 weeks each year. There's always wind, always. Bar those 2 weeks each year it's relatively cold, you need at least a jacket, in most cases a coat, to be able to be outside for more than 2 minutes.
People are constantly complaing about taxes like som kind of mantra even when they aren't that high at all. (30% on income up to $51k, ~50% on income in excess of that.) I feel like people are more and more adopting some kind of every man for himself philosophy. Universities are bad and have low standards, probably because they get money from the governement for each person they graduate. The weather is so bad that I can honestly say "It's worse back home" when English people ask me how I can stand their shitty weather.

This just shows how ignorant you are. Here you have a list for taxes as % gdp. And you can be forced to pay as much as 70-80% of your income if you earn enough, you think that is ok? Get your facts straight next time kid.

Scratch an Australian and often you'll find a bigot. There is a widespread contempt for indigenous Australians, and there was some very inappropriate outrage at ex-PM Kevin Rudd's apology to the Aboriginal community for the abuses committed by British settlers. In my mind the issue wasn't that 'it wasn't OUR fault' but rather that it meant quite a lot to the Aboriginals. Even so, there were (are) many that hold the view that the indigenous didn't deserve the gesture.
I have also found there is an attitude present in many Aussies that is along the lines of 'Everyone loves Australians, because we are so friendly'. This assumption on the part of many young Aussies is in itself very arrogant. I suppose an extension with that is the rivalry between Australia and New Zealand.
The list of problems with my country is too long to mention but the major ones must.be our spineless prime minister and an opposition who is as right extreme as US politicians mix this with an increasing crime rate and immigrants who don't speak English and you got Norway
1- Bad Mannered Drivers: I don't know about that in other countries, but in Turkey, bus, taxi or truck drivers act like they are above the traffic rules.
2- Football Whatsoever: We got a team called Fenerbahçe. Every single ref, even the football federation and central association of referees do everything they can so that Fenerbahçe can win. But they still can't. Last year they even celebrated the second place like crazy:
Note that I'm not a fan of Fenerbahçe, I'm a proud Galatasaray fan. But there is one thing: They can't complete a match with 11 people whenever these guys play with a foreign referee, but when they play with Turkish refs, they rarely get cards. Whenever a Turkish referee shows a red card to a Fenerbahçe player (even if the card is right), he's criticised for the whole week. But whatever happens against Galatasaray (especially Galatasaray, and also Beşiktaş) is legit. This is not football. It's butchery.
And, Turkish channels demand 25$ for a season to allow you to watch that thing.
3- High school students online: If you're in Turkey, this is the worst thing in the whole internet. They always swear like battle.net or iccup raging pussies who always blame the winner for every game they lose. Think about a few millions of people who call every single person in the internet "son of a bitch". Welcome to Turkey.
4- RTUK: Its english is Superior Association of Radio and TV. They basically ban everything that's good on TV. They even banned pokemon because a kid jumped from the balcony of his house thinking that he's charizard. Is that enough?
5- Mandatory Religious Islamic Education: Tell me another country (which is not Iran, UAE or KSA) where all school from elementary until university have mandatory religious courses which only teach Islam and the curriculum has Namaz, fasting, memorization of islamic prayers etc. (note that they really make you perform a namaz in those classes). Well, I'm a muslim, but this is still a joke.
6- International Flights: Basically most of the good countries ask for visa to a Turkish citizen who is not also a citizen of usa or another european country; but Turkey basically asks no countries for visa.
7- Girls Bitches: Yep, this is a good one to bash.

Those bitches are fucked, MOST of them go for the money, there is so much interest in girls that are hot and pretty that is hilarious, i have a female friend that asks me who this guy is (for example) and the first time she asked i went "oh yeah hes cool, hes studying something blah blah", now, i know what she wants to hear "hes the son of ____ drives a ___ has a big house in ____ likes going out to ___. And the funny part SHE DOESNT EVEN NEED MONEY, she just does because fuck it.
Just like Cuba, Turkish girls are the same too. Actually, bitches are better than those girls. At least they can say that they ask for money straight out.
8- Stupid education curricula: A student who wants to be an engineer has mandatory history, geography, philosophy, literature and religion classes. Period.
Sweden's autumn weather sucks. Sun, rain, Lots of rain, sunny again, raining while sunny, cloudy, rain, thunder.
You can never trust the weather to be good, even if it looks that way.
Example: I went out to have P.E in school. The weather was sunny with just a couple of small clouds. After like 20 minutes it was pouring rain and hailing at the same time.
The incompetence of our socialist politicans and our time of individualism, loss of solidarity and community.
I sincerely feel stressed and hurt by todays election since the right wing alliance will win it, a racist party will reach our congress.
We've forgotten the reasons we allow high taxes, help those immigrants who need help.
We haven't seen the issues that occur when the state doesn't care, when we live with wealth alone and have the possibility to help those in need.
In 1956 a hungarian family fled their country as Sovjet occupied it. The family came to Stockholm, where people waited. Thousands of Swedes, media and politicians welcomed them from a life without hope and a new start in our beloved Sweden.
Yet here we are today. Ignorant and prejudice. Unknowing of what a social democratic utopia we're living in compared to what Hjalmar Branting even could dream of when he won our first social democratic election majority.
Our time isn't the time of building a Utopia. It's living in it, taking it for granted and abusing it looking for something new to fight for.
As with a aristocratic british family. The first generation builds an empire. The second keeps it running. The third generation spends it all.
We are the third generation, we are egoists, unidealistic, individualists who vote for our own resturants tax reduction instead of voting for helping the homeless person outside the resturant.
In 1950's people spoke of the death of ideologys. They were wrong, vietnam and the 1968 radicalisation and a green collectivistic wave brought us together.
Now we're there again, there is no Nam to represent the faults of humans abusing power, no feelings for the human next door.
We defeated God, Nietszche. Sure we did. But we forgot what a belief in something gives the human, shaped our atheistic identities as a opposite of what was a religious life instead of keeping what kept us together and made human life a better journey.
Perhaps something will happen. When China has taken over as the only super power their Culture and Ideology brings something new to our lives. Probably much worse, but something to fight for, something that brings us together. Not sure what. But something new.

haha I wish the US was more like that. Here you go up to 30% and then... basically the rich never pay any more than that. The super rich actually pay less.
I'm from Vietnam. The corruption here has gotten out of hand. We have a tremendous potential to become a new star of the world economy, but all the corruption just slowed the process down alot. Vietnamese country-side girls who think foreign countries are better and try to marry foreigners and only result in disaster or even death. The gorverment tried to build a high-speed train systems that cost around 50 billions dollars while the country is in need of hospitals more than ever...wtf!!! All the problems apart, Vietnam is still a cool place to live, though!
Students are forced to graduate in a pretty tight time period while practically have to work evening jobs to pay the high rents in Helsinki.
Retarded obligatory military service for 6-12 months where unmotivated slobs are "forged into men". You may choose something called civil service instead where you're forced to work 12 months in a (most likely) shitty goverment job for almost no pay.
The national football team is a sack of shit. Our "national sport" is a retarded variant of baseball that nobody watches anyway.
I hate the moronic selfish (wannabe) capitalists who claim that paying high taxes is a bad thing. I hate how reserved most of the people are, we aren't the most outgoing of people.
