I'm pretty petrified of anything except maybe ladybugs and ants... I grew immune to ladybugs since during the fall giant swarms of them fly out of the forest near my house and try to "migrate" or something, but end up just running into the outside of the house repeatedly. Well our back door has a small crevice near the top where it isn't quite lined up with the frame, usually nothing gets through there but somehow the crazy ladybugs manage to get in there in waves, so occasionally during this time the ceiling of our kitchen is covered in ladybugs and not much can be done about it, they eventually go away on their own or die.

Shit. Even butterflies scare the crap out of me. I hate being physically touched by anything that crawls around on my skin. Ugggh.

It's not that I hate ALL bugs, but damn do I hate a hell lot of them. Just growing up in a city I guess must've made me a pansy for these things. I would literally spray down a water bug for a whole can of bug spray. That's how much I hate them. And on top of that, I hate killing the big ones because of their insides. Gaaah... You know... The ones that take more then just a step, but the twist for the crunch....

I had a fairly traumatic experience with bugs as a child.

I was playing with plastic insects (Making them fight and shit) and i had all of them scattered along the floor. I went to pick up my grasshopper to fight the spider that was just victorious in the ring. Anyway a grasshopper managed to infiltrate my house and I picked it up and it started flailing it's limbs around. Scared the shit out of me.

Ya swamp climate sucks. Southern Louisiana is ftl too. Spiders don't really bother me because of the sheer number and they kill other insects so I like them.

I'm a pussy, any insect that's larger than a fingernail is at best unnerving and at worst super frightening for me. But where I live the biggest insect I have to deal with at a more than once a year basis are adult cockroaches, so it's not that bad.

i dont understand why i am so scared of them... im not scared of animals, only insects... i think its the idea that they dont really understand whats goin on so theyll just crawl closer to you no matter what, whereas a rat or something will run away from you

But I hate all the crawling bugs/spiders etc.

I was kinda a insect boy. I had a big garden in my house and lotsa variety of insects and other invertebrates lived there. I only hate cockroaches, most flies, and mosquitos. The others are OK for me.

Another funny yet strange thing about me is that sometimes an insect just pop out of nowhere in my body. Usually a random insect like beetles, ladybugs, moths, and so on. One time I had a spider making a web near my armpit. I take like 2 showers a day. I guess I just attract invertebrates around me.

This thread made me interested in going look up insect videos and I stumbled upon this. A type of wasp injects their larva in a caterpillar and basically mind controls the caterpillar to help the larva grow. I'm so scared to go outside now.

Also here is a video of this type of flower that produces a scent that tricks bees into having sex with the flower to help pollinate it.
