There are way worse bugs out there. Mosquitoes, horseflies and ticks are real pains in the ass and I have to deal with them all the time when I'm out in the woods at my cousins place. Some times the horseflies are so bad you can't go outside, you'll have bleeding bite marks where ever there is exposed skin in minutes. Spiders get rid of the real asshole bugs, that's why I never hurt spiders, even if they lay a sack of eggs in my swimming trunks.

Insects are the worst. Even ants freak me the eff out, especially when I'm just walking down the street in my flip flops, don't watch where I'm going, and step too close to a huge ant farm in the sidewalk. FFFF. Why do most bugs move so sporadically? Like they're sprinting in a line and instantly change direction into another line. ffs, walk sensically. I hate summer for one reason--because I find these creatures in my house. + Show Spoiler + ![]() I don't care they're relatively harmless. I want them out. Fortunately, I have an effective way to get rid of these things. 1) Freak the hell out. 2) Spray the thing with bleach. idgaf if they're on the wall, carpet, whatever. I refuse to touch those things alive with any extension of my hand. 3) Get an oven mitt, 50 rolls of toilet paper, and the largest textbook I can find. I smash the thing with the textbook. 4) Pick up the bug with my ghetto super glove (because I'm deathly afraid that if I smash it just with a magazine, it'll survive and crawl on my arm) and throw it in the trash. 5) Curl up in a ball on my computer chair for the next hour in paranoia.

+ Show Spoiler + This is a house centipede. They feed on spiders and insects. They're relatively harmless. They're not insects, belonging to the Class Chilopoda (containing centipedes and millipedes). Centipedes are poisonous and predacious, though the house centipede is harmless. But yeah, if there's a little spider in my room, I grab some paper towel or something similar and squish it. Big spider? Trap it under a glass, turn compressed can of air upside down and freeze it :3 Works well as long as they have no room to blow away.
