+ Show Spoiler + ![]() In this case the picture tells billions of words, and has beauty that the human mind cannot comprehend completely. It also shows us that no matter what race or gender our differences mean nothing, because as Carl Sagan once said "The universe is benign nor hostile to creatures such as we".

I wonder if there will ever be a time when we will ever be able to record and explore majority of space. It is literally unimaginable to comprehend how vast the universe. Makes me feel so insignificant when trying to realize how small we really are in space. I really wish I would be alive till the day we can explore space like star trek and even meet/enculture myself to the possible aliens out there. This thread keeps reminding me how destructive and loving we can be. How brillant we are but also fuss over things(wars, riot massacres) that don't warrant attention at all...

Yes, because obviously the unfair deaths of millions of people doesn't warrant attention.

![]() On a lighter note, my parents are both architects, and they made sure to educate me on some of the best architecture out there. Here is some work from Antoni Gaudi, a famous Spanish architect who did a number of great works in Barcelona. His masterpiece is the Cathedral Sagrada Familia (still under construction since 1882) Pictured above is the Casa Batllo, which my parents made me visit and is now solely responsible for my appreciation of architecture. Here is more of his work for those interested. + Show Spoiler + ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

In the picture you see the last Tasmanian Tiger ever to be seen in the wild. And killed. After years and years of persecution, trapping, poisioning and slaughter of the innocent species this is the last victim in the wild. The most breath-taking part of the picture is that the person who is there next to the tiger is smiling, as if he achieved something when he in fact killed the last wild animal of the whole species. An incredibly unique species. It's breath takingly sad and frustrating to look at how cruel and wrong people can be...
