Short and sweet a curious radio transmission was recorded from the direction of the Sagittarius constellation. There's no definite evidence but it is a very curious result of SETI.

Edit: that image was a good one though Stealth. It's one that really does bring out a thousand different words in my thoughts and it nicely represents how something so simple could be so immensely thought provoking. Shit, an analogy for the idea of language as a whole.

I'm pretty sure it is.

Light pollution makes it so most people never see the night sky so clearly, and that picture might have used a long exposure, but that's close to what you see when you look up once you get a couple hundred miles away from any city.

I've seen the Milky Way bands many times in pictures and much more faintly in life.. It's just the mountains and the sky, it's breath taking from a monitor. That is a rare thing for me to say.
