I can't really tell why they're doing it the way they're doing it - i just know that they're welding the rocket onto the ship (rather, they weld clamps on the shoes of the landing gear). Also, i don't really see why it'd be dangerous. There's not much fuel left in the booster (if any), and the rocket flopping over isn't more dangerous than a falling tree. That's my judgement though, didn't really think too much about it. edit: @above, that's not news. Falcon Heavy fairing is 13,1m by 5,2m, BA-330 is 13,7m long. Already was in 2005. Did i miss something? | ||
