I don't like how people throw all these resolutions and promises around, as if just saying them aloud will make you automatically complete them. Lifestyle changes always require personal effort, regardless of the time of the year or whatever the trend.

Lifestyle changes always require personal effort, regardless of the time of the year or whatever the trend. Normally I'm the guy to rain on everyone's parades, but there is some benefit to making a resolution. If you tell people you're going to do something, the thought of failing and looking like a total ass motivates you to actually do it. If you really wanna hate on a tradition, let's hit Valentines Day. That said, I'm gonna go with the standard "work out more". My chesticles are sexy, but I have no abs. Yet.

+ Show Spoiler + I've had several domains parked for ideas I've been meaning to realize. I want to start at least three of them. Realize at least one. + Show Spoiler + Out of those three, I'm going to devote time to have one launch. Shooting for two. Hoping for three. Network more. + Show Spoiler + I always was against networking. It felt like whoring myself. I'm going to find a way to get over this, and begin to network more. The idea is that it will at least help with my projects. Write more. + Show Spoiler + Blog perhaps. I have so many ideas, and so much to say. I forgot most of it because I don't write anything down. I'm sure this resolution works well with all the previous so far. Make money. + Show Spoiler + Student loans are catching up. I need to take care of that. More photography. + Show Spoiler + Last year, I spent $1500 in photography gear. I have not used it nearly enough. I wanted to, but never did. Should be easy to change. More videography. + Show Spoiler + Similar to photography. Continue eating better. + Show Spoiler + I've lost about 20lbs since college. I want to keep it up, not that I need to lose any more - just keep it off, or gain it in more healthy ways. Waste less time. + Show Spoiler + Wasting time is what has been keeping me from doing most of these things. This is just a general resolution. Finish a video game. + Show Spoiler + I tend to stop playing a game halfway through, sometimes close to the end, in order to start something else. I think I'll start streaming my game playing to help me stick to them before starting anything else. I think sharing this is a good step towards it. Just don't praise me until I've done any of it. Happy New Year, TL. Good luck with all your resolutions.

1920x1080 Seriously: I want to get in decent shape (hasn't to be at a gym) and to work harder for school. Gain some weight is a good one too, but I've been trying that for years. We'll see. Oh, and play more SC2!

That's gonna be insanely hard. I'm in very good shape, but I'm afraid all those soft drinks will have some negative long-term effects on my body.

Stop drinking all soda (damn those phosphates for tasting so good!) Floss every night (damnit) Continue to strive to be STD free. Lose more pointless inhibitions. Related to above: Stop being so shy around guys I like. Become more politically involved. Finish up the didactic portion of my Physician Assistant program (ends in July) with at least a 3.5. Start up the clinical portion of PA program with gusto. And for my obligatory starcraft resolution, I want to avoid getting inordinately angry with myself for losing, to facilitate learning and improvement.

Mine is to get closer to being fluent in a foreign language. Aim low and be unspecific and you can't miss. I've technically already completed mine, but I'll keep going just because. ^^
