Hey Day, I just spoke to my Korean co-teacher and he said noone is stressed about it. He said North Korea is always making threats and nothing comes of it, and that noone in Korea is particularly worried.

So don't worry man, I'm sure everything will be just fine

Koreans ARE worried. I don't know where people are getting the impression that they are not concerned. Of course, they have grown to become bit desensitized about things like this but this still is alarming to koreans.

The thread title is misleading...It might be "accurate" but given the circumstances it is not substantial news to anyone familiar with the crisis. That is, the threat does not hold significant weight.

For Koreans, it's alarming but what the hell can you do except get on with your life? If they cowered everytime tensions rose, nothing would get done. So they get on with their lives. If it were us, we'd be doing the same thing.

Oh god, these things always put me on edge. War is just exactly the opposite of what anyone wants, yet North Korea still has to act so aggressively. The worst thing is if they did retaliate, I don't think South Korea would do anything.

They're firing into the sea, in a military drill which they do ALL THE TIME, it was scheduled long before any of this stuff with DPRK happened.

The same military drill they did a little while ago, where DPRK promised huge retaliation, and then did nothing.

Why do people believe this should be any different?
