Tonight's the airing of my House Hunters episode on HGTV.
The show producers have said that this is one of the best episodes they've done, and we're discussing about getting me on the show again with my upcoming home purchase. If it happens, it will be the first time in House Hunters history where they will have anyone coming back onto their show for a 2nd time.
But first it looks like they want to see how the ratings for my first episode is going to be. I'm reaching out for support. If everybody can tune in tonight (Oct 14th) @ 10PM and watch the show all throughout, it will make quite a strong case for them to bring me back onto the show again.
Your viewership is genuinely appreciated, as it may go a long way toward developing a multi-series for me on House Hunters.
Thanks in advance if you tune in. Air date is tonight, 10/14, at 10PM on the HGTV channel. It's 10PM regardless of what U.S. Time zone you're in.
What makes the episode special: - If there was a best ending award, this would probably win it. - Much more money was spent on making this episode than most others - My character profile is quite different than the typical people who come on the show. - Cause your local TLer is on it, dammit
House Hunters is an American reality series that currently airs new episodes at 10:00pm nightly and reruns at various times on the cable television network HGTV. It premiered in 1999.
House Hunters was originally hosted/narrated by Suzanne Whang. In 2008, the show was narrated by Colette Whitaker. Narration again changed hands in 2009 with Andromeda Dunker, and is now hosted with Suzanne Whang on camera. The program follows individuals, couples, or families searching for a new home with the assistance of a realtor. Each broadcast features three properties, one of which is selected by the prospective buyer, whose offer generally is accepted by the seller. In the final moments of the show, the new owner provides a tour of the house, revealing what changes and/or improvements if any were made after moving in.
The preview link goes in more details on what the episode is about, but if I give any more info than that before the episode airs then I believe it's against their policy.

I think he means what the actual show (House Hunters, not your episode) is about. Quite a few people have probably never seen it, and even reading the description doesn't really tell us what happens on the show (once again, the show as a whole; not your episode.)
You should make sure to include the time zone you are in. And I would totally do this if I didn't have to work from 5 to midnight. :[ . I'll ask my grandparents to watch!
"Andrew why do you want us to watch this so bad?" "IT'S FOR A FRIEND."
So, Do the realtor they provide you actually help you in anyway with picking a house. Because, I've heard people already have a house picked and sometimes the other two house that are provided, the couple haven't even seen them? So can you just provide us with your process, the background stuff not usually seen in the show which must provides insight into filming a reality show. . congrats btw!
I'm not sure if it works the same way in the US as in Sweden, but it probably does.
When you measure TV Ratings you actually just have a few people with TV meter boxes, and then you multiply the amount of people with tv boxes who watched the show with the box:nobox ratio.

But if anyone here has one of those go for it!
I'm pretty sure that's how it is measured in NA as well
My parents introduced me to this show and it's actually pretty entertaining. You get to see a bunch of cool houses all around the country/world. I definitely recommend people check it out, especially now that we have one of our own hunting.

Oh damn yes that would've been incredible.Plug TL on national television go!
I would totally watch this just because you're in it but it happens to be at the same time as always sunny in philadelphia my roommates might kill me if i asked them to pregame to hgtv lol. I'll try to dvr it.

Exactly what I was thinking. I might have seen stuff like this on Canadian television... but I don't care too much for it lol. If I see some episode about a 26 year old willing to chuck a million bucks like a baller then I'll watch. (read: better have an arse-load of chicks)
Why would you ever want to leave the Vegas parrty lifestyle.. that place is like heaven. xD
and guys it's on at 10:00 PM EST, and it also says October 14th 1:00 AM EST.. but I think they meant October 15th? I'll have to catch this on at the 1 AM showing, because Always Sunny and The League will be on at that same exact time.
My girlfriend is gonna be super pumped to make me watch that tonight.
I've been enjoying interior decorating (is there a manlier way to say that? Interior design?) wayyy too much as I've moved out on my own and helped my girlfriend decorate her apartment. I'm already like 2/3rds gay, so I need to be careful. Trying to avoid HGTV :D

[from wiki] Although billed as a reality show, producers often recruit buyers who are already in escrow with the house of their choice. The other two homes that are filmed are shown to fulfill the selection process but are often homes that the buyers may have never seen. One participant in the show stated, "The show is not really a reality show. You have to already own the house that gets picked at the end of the show. But the other houses in the show are actually the other houses we considered buying.

Are you paid for being on the show? Can you tell us how much-ish? How much of the show is totally rigged?
Yes, but money is not at all what I'm after. I'll probably just donate the whole amount to charity.
Not to mention I used way more of my own money to make the episode than I was paid.
And there's no way they would allow any branded shirt to come on air. They went as far as putting tape over the name of my car while I was driving it because they thought it was free advertising.

It's in the episode. They did a whole interview on me about my background, how I grew up, what I do, etc.

I'll be sure to watch, but I'm interested.

Vegas is fun for the first year. Then you begin to realize everything else that it's blatantly missing.
Yes, they also do a re-run at 1 A.M. on the following day.

tfeign Ayo, TL, this your boy t-feign, welcome to my crib. Step into my foyer This is what you call a foyer. It's pronounced fo' yay, I think cause it's a place fo' yay all to hang yo coats and umbrellas. Also, I got some nice artwork on the walls cause that's how a baller do.
Step into my living room As you can see, I'm a big Michael Jackson fan. I try to model my life around his and often ask myself, "What would Michael do?" when I'm confused. See that trophy case in the corner? Lemme show you a lil somethin. This is a gold CD where I keep the replays of me beating Ahk-gosu 1v1. He claimed to be able to beat pros, and I beat him, so guess what? I can beat pros.
Follow me to check out the master bedroom. That's my bed, Goofus. That's where all the magic happens.
Nah, just playin. That's where the magic happens!
Anyways that's it cribs, but I'm gonna play sauron style like chojja with my properties so y'all come back when I get my next base up, peace.
Wow, I never knew famous people are interested in Starcraft (outside Korea). I would watch it because your a tl member and it sounds interesting, but I don't I the time to, sorry (my tv doesn't support that show either). Good luck with it though!
just watched the rerun, congratz and nice house! The renovation was amazing I love the kitchen, great job to James making that green looks amazing. So is your third house gonna be sponsoring team for Starcraft 2 players? ; )
I watch the show often. I watched it tonight with a couple of friends. It's nice to see a TL'er on tv
I am happy you connected with your family. I correctly guessed the place you chose. My friends speculated obsessively that you have a relationship with the designer, and they think we are nerds for playing SC, but they enjoyed the show as did I. The renovation was great!

So much blood, sweat, and tears actually went into that renovation. He had only 3 months to basically take a junkyard and turn it into something special. James completely blew me away there. The green is even more amazing in person. he went as far as getting special permission from Lamborghini in order to obtain the same exact "Verde Ithaca" paint code. It's the identical to the green color that you see on Lamborghini's, complete with the metallic finish.
There were much more incredible details about the house which blew me away but the camera couldn't catch. I believe the ending of the episode was the biggest transformation of a property they've had on House Hunters.
I've got so many people to thank but I owe special thanks to James, he truly went out of his way on so many levels.

I'll be in Vegas Dec. 10-12th to see Dave Matthews. If you want to meet for a drink, pm me. I should be with a golf pro or two, so if you are a golfer, we can probably get you out on a course for free.
Anyhow, I hope you are enjoying the new place.
We are both 100% straight guys who love each other to death.
