I like japan.
If you have a problem with something, make sashimi of it!

The strangest thing is that it would be so easy for honey farmer to put small grid that those big bastard wouldnt be able to traverse, but the normal bee would still pass.

Evil Hornets...
Just because you can now store where everyone was and is, what they like, what they fear who they talk to and who they love. It does not mean we should so spy upon our fellow man in a dystopia far worse then 1984

The bees developed a defense to these giatn hornet attacks. They surroud the hornet and completely engulf it with the honey bees. The inside of the mass heats up and kills the hornet, but leaves the inner most bees alive because they can survive higher temperatures. =P

Was that in the video? I couldn't watch it >_<

you sure you didn't make that up? maybe the video would have mentioned it, assuming it was discovery quality, if bees did have this adaptation

The japanse bee's can do that however. It's wickedly cool too see. :D

The honey bee's on the other hand (which were the ones getting their asses kicked. Or bitten off.) can't, because they aren't native to the region and haven't adapted to it.

I think the comparison is like this..

35 fully upgraded bc's vs 30,000 muta.

That was sad, the bee's did everything they could, yet they still died. Damn, nature is often cruel.

30000 zerglings vs 35 fully upgraded archons more like it

35 ultras would get raped insanely hard. with archons it would depend on formations.:p

Ya but archons are like psishooting blue balls, ultra's slize lings in half, like those hornets do ;o

Depends on formations too I think with the ultra's :p but it would be cool haha, 6 armor ultra's, lings do 0,5 damage oo;

um twisted the ultras wouldn't be close because the lings would have to get next to them for the ultras to attack, and they'd only take one at a time, and they would need 2 kills to take one ling. basically one ultra would kill one ling in the same amount of time one ling did at least 2 damage.

I remember some friend of mine put 4 archons on a ramp with 4 batteries and attacked with 400 unupgraded lings. all lings died, didn't have to use batteries.

Seen it on discovery channel I believe (or something similiar), so it's not "fake" whoever mentioned that. Was kind of funny because the local people didn't wear any kind of protective gear when they were poking in their nest to get them out, but the americans had on space-suit looking things :")

the hornets didnt get no stinking ramp, so throw that out.

35 fully upgraded archons would die to 30,000 no upgrade lings. Considering that the lings are able to attack from all sides, just like the bee's did to the hornets, archons would get owned. I suspect that the archons would manage to kill a couple thousand, but there are just too many lings. although the archon would be able to kill 2 or 3 lings per splash damage attack, 2-5 additional lings would get be getting free hits. Even with the shield upgrade, the lings would just continually pound those huge archons. 30,000 lings continually attacking would be like a nonstop wave of kamikazi bombers, unstoppable.
keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

"Depends on formations too I think with the ultra's but it would be cool haha, 6 armor ultra's, lings do 0,5 damage oo;"I was thinking the same thing.By the way the cooldown is 8 to 15,so yes..2 damage, but 1 is taken away.Hmmm...30 ultras vs 30000 broodlings ?
MadFrog : In my opinion, the biggest reason why WC3 is dying is because it is not such a great game as Brood War is.

Wow, those things can go at 25mph... Running = futile.

I'd like to see a vid of bees killing hornets by surrounding them, though. That would be cool.

Hmm, I think the vid said the big bees would kill the colony in 3 hours... That seems like a lot of kills per second, and those bees looked pretty slow.

I'm too lazy to check google to see if it is real.

You seriously underestimate the number 30,000, Klogon.

76 players all in the same game. 75 of those players have completely maxed supply with nothing but Zerglings... and they're up against the 1 other player, who has 140 supply in Archons.

The zerglings would completely MASSACRE those archons. I mean come on... you can't even fit 30,000 zerglings on all of LT. You would need multiple LTs.

huh? Here's what I said:

What about 35 of those hornets vs the entire tl.net forum users? All we have for defense is a tshirt, shorts, and our own hands.

We'd get so pwned, not even funny.

I wanna know how they managed to get a camera on the back of one of the giant hornets.

At the very least it was all a big setup for the bees to die. So many camera shots o_O

A flame thrower would be the best weapon, or even a grenade launcher, considering you have some distance between you and the bugs. If not, your screwed no matter what.

WHAT THE FUCK NO VAN DAM IS AWESOME? Didnt you see bloodsport he can hit a stack of bricks and break the very bottom one, and he can catch attacks with his eyes closed. Im thinking Van Dam could take down at least 3 or 4 hornets on his own with magical chopsticks. Once it gets up to like 5 or 6 though, hes pretty much fucked.

Maybe not the same type, but... "In Japan's mountain villages, the hornets are valued as part of the basic diet. They are eaten deep fried, or even as hornet sashimi."
