1. This is not a "do my homework for me" thread. If you have specific questions, ask, but don't post an assignment or homework problem and expect an exact solution.
2. No recruiting for your cockamamie projects (you won't replace facebook with 3 dudes you found on the internet and $20)
3. If you can't articulate why a language is bad, don't start slinging shit about it. Just remember that nothing is worse than making CSS IE6 compatible.

Not sure if you edited or a mod did for sounding like a homework question, but...

Searching lists usually comes down to iterating through the whole thing or pre-sorting all the entries beforehand.

Which one you use generally comes down to efficiency, and which of the sort or search runs more often.
Average means I'm better than half of you.

What is a good HTML text editor these days? Ideally free, with standard features like bracket matching, autocompletion, etc?

SublimeText isn't free. I'd go with BlueFish or Komodo Edit.

I can't find a native function, so I think you have to do it the hard and ugly way if you want to do it in SQL:

SELECT @lat:=114.083; -- you can replace all @lat with the name of your field
SELECT @d:=TRUNCATE(@lat,0) AS d,
@m:=TRUNCATE((@lat * 60) - (@d * 60),0) AS m,
@s:=TRUNCATE((@lat * 3600) - (@d * 3600) - (@m * 60),1) AS s;

Atom is really slow though. You can see the difference if you use both of them.

Indeed. gVim is even a decent implementation for windows.

For big projects I'd still use a real IDE though.

Just asking for some general advice. I really would like to work with the Grooveshark API to build some sort of executable desktop app that will work as some sort of media player synced with the user's playlists. I have a slight idea of how to do this with C#, but the whole Grooveshark API is in PHP. I really don't think C# and PHP interact with each other, so does anyone have any ideas how I can build this .exe using the API and at the same time using C#?
We buy things we don't need, with money we don't have, to impress people we don't like.

It doesn't really matter what the Grooveshark API is written in - under the assumption that this is the API you want to use (a link would be a good idea, next time)

Then you just fire up a HttpClient and post some JSON to the appropriate link - which would be your session ID + the base URL of the API.

Now you can do what you want through your desktop client.
