Update: Added bans by length
October 20th, 2005 was an important day in Teamliquid.net history. It marks the day the infamous automated ban list was first created. From that day forward no user would be banned without the rest of the community’s knowledge.
However, the ban list is merely a heap of unfiltered information. It is a gold mine of hilarity and entertainment, but sadly it is extraordinarily difficult to sift through the garbage. But today, thanks to Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Word and boredom, I give you the Teamliquid.net ban Scoreboard.

This list has the total number of bans from the day to ban list was created to the most recent ban at time of righting, Old Sagat.
Final Note:
+ Show Spoiler +I am unsure if I have the correct total but I have to be close. Trying to count the posts of the TL.net bot gave me a ban total of 4497. Counting the occurrences of the phrase "That account was created on" gave me a ban total of 4499. However counting bans by admin and bans by length both gave me 4456 so I'm sticking with that. However I could have missed an obscure admin or ban length. Yeah my Im missing some bans.

Edit: Mind you, I can't account for different usernames, so people like tdot aren't on here. Users with stars are permabanned.

I've been banned by 3 different mods, hot bid, insane and ETT.
hot_bid is a ruthless individual behind closed (banhammer) doors. Being banned by hot bid isn't very attractive or memorable, it happens so much there's honestly nothing too special about it. being banned by hot_bid is like a one night stand after some very heavy drinking, often amazing at the time but by the time the next week rolls around you've seemingly forgotten all about it and all you can remember are a few very hazy dark (but amazing) memories that feel more like a dream than real. Being banned by hot_bid isn't really what anyone at recess would brag about though... mainly due to how common it happens. The hot_bid banning experience definitely varies for everyone. (some better than others)
Insane is a much rarer and memorable banner. Insane has a philosophy of moderation where he mainly only moderates things he feels personally about. Hence when insane bans you, you know you share things in common with him. This potentially could lead to a lifelong friendship (or possibly something much more) unlike his predecessor hot_bid, insane has a subtle way of showing affection through bans. It's up to YOU "the ban-ee" to make the most of this unique opportunity especially if your ban is only of a 24 hour or 3 day duration. Being banned by insane isn't usually something that is openly bragged about but rather discussed as lore and legend between some small circles of friends since insane bans are so few and far between.
ETT's banning philosophies are rather hard to pinpoint exactly. All agree on one thing though it's like being hit by a mack truck that slams you into an alternate reality wisteria lane with rosie o donnell and ellen degeneres engaging in immoral behavior. Definitely something that leaves a lasting impression to change ones ways (in order to never have to experience such a horrible life-scarring event again) and gives kids on the TL block nightmares and horrible images that last for months on end. Typically there isn't much left of you after ETT runs you over. As of July of last year he is no longer a ruthless single individual. He is now a ruthless married individual. Word on the street still says its hard to pinpoint how this as effected ETT's banning style. Is he now more forgiving and compassionate? Or has it made him even more ruthless (he takes his deep dark anger out on TL users more now?) Only time will tell.

All these result threads are skewed anyway, because they do not factor in the progression from simple perm bans, to temp bans, to warnings. Nor does it take into account the back door method of banning.

It isn't a contest in the eyes of moderators. While there are some controversial bans, the vast vast majority is cut and dry. It is just a daily chore required to prevent TL from slipping into battle.net quality. It is like doing laundry.
I wish every day that I did not have to moderate, and that people would understand the TL environment. I would really really like to be able to read and enjoy the forums like a regular user.

The thing is, you can't just count the number of times a mod's name (or even TL.net bot, for that matter) comes up in the thread because of things like quoted posts and regular comments unrelated to banning. The trick is figuring out a way to sift the real bans from the false positives. I wrote a program to help differentiate between the two, and that's where I get my numbers from.

I'd love to see a stat-page for most-banned users. Mad props to the OP for these stats though. I have to say one of my earlier sources of entertainment as a TL newb was reading the ban thread and noticing all the present mods that spent time under the banhammer ye many years ago.

he was banned the first time for just being a bad poster, now he just makes accounts that either get instantly banned or get like 3 posts. he's kind of "famous" (not really) just because he keeps trying and it's kinda funny.

My method is flawed, whenever a ban is quoted in the thread it gets counted twice. The changes in format made this far harder than I thought it would be. Spazer's list is probably more accurate.

I've only been warned once. I was just mad at everyone always spamming results in replay comments. I don't really even care either. I also don't really contribute a whole lot to the site. I just like a handful of people here and this is easily the best site for time killing. Though, I do have to say there are a lot of children of these forums now which kind of gets under my skin, but I keep it cool, baby.
Oh, I say handful only because there are a ton of people on the site. Generally most people here are swell.
