???????????
Cheese is understandable because animals die to produce it (see rennet) and I don't eat it myself, but things like free range eggs or milk from cows that live in a paddock is completely different to killing the animal. If I won't eat McDonalds because it makes you fat, does it mean I won't even call in there to buy an orange juice?
From the 'better for the environment / sustainable living' standpoint I guess drinking milk is a little hypocritical.

It's such a weird social convention. Hey I'm so happy to see you I'm gonna hold you very close to me and give you a little squeeeeze. It's so common between young people too. Like I'll meet people for the first time ever and they will give me a hug (mostly girls do this) which is kind of silly imo. I just met you, I don't wanna rub up against you.
I like it when it's just greeting family after a long absence or just a quick hug meeting relatives for the first time in a long while but when friends do it I really dislike it.

I have to use a thousand different cards (eftpos card, drivers license, bus card etc) It would be way easier if i could combine them and only use 1

Vegetarians are not vegans. Yah. But they should be. Their position makes no sense. Explain? With some religious vegetarians it makes sense. They aren't contradicting anything. With some vegetarians that are vegetarians for ethical reasons, yeah, there are some contradictions. But there are vegetarians that are vegetarian only for health reasons, and to them, their position makes sense. There are also some people that just simply don't like meat and fish and prefer not to eat them. You're speaking as if vegetarians are all vegetarian for the same reason, which is pretty stupid. Now, people that call themselves vegetarians but continue to eat fish. That's annoying.
word! saved me a post.

I guess I have really good hearing or something because this happens quite often. I can usually hear if a TV is on outside my apartment(without hearing the volume of the tv show) there is a high pitched frequecy it makes. Along with my router, which also has a very low high pitched freq. Anyway it tilts me to no end when I cant figure out what the noise is and I get no help from anyone because they can't hear it. Anyone else have this? I also hear the high tone from the television (although it is only older ones that have picture tubes, LCD doesn't make it). It drives me nuts. ugh i can totally relate to you two, i can hear it as well and it annoys me when people have the tv on with low volume and i hear that fucking annoying sound then i press the power button with anger lol

Oh my God, people who let me get off the elevator first. WHY?
We are both men. There's no need for me to go first. If you are holding a door for me that's awesome because it makes it easier for me to get in/out, and it shows you're putting effort to make my life easier. It's a nice courtesy.
Letting me getting off the elevator first, conversely, is fucking stupid; you're just standing there! You're not putting in any effort. It doesn't make my life better as if you just fucking got off the elevator I would be off now anyway, instead of this awkward traffic jam you've created.
The worst was last week when two guys both put their hands out at the same time, like I was a fucking red-carpeted movie star or something. Fuck this. It happens about 50% of the time when I'm on the elevator. I need to start just holding my ground and refusing to leave.

Raw emotion is not subject to rationality. Well you're half right. Your unconscious response is, well, unconscious. But your reaction is a conscious decision. You may feel anger for a split second, but then choose to respond by laughing or not caring and diluting the negative emotion within you. Just force your logical brain to take over and swat away the anger. In other words, chill. I think everyone here has more than enough anecdotal evidence to know that emotion can overwhelm any ideal rational behavior.

Haha this is great thread. So many things mentioned which annoys me too. Some comments:
People who walk slow.
Hell yes! Driving, starting from traffic lights, too slow is even worse.
People who drive all the way up to the end of a merge lane and then expect me to let them in.
Do you realize it is the best way to do it? Especially in traffic intense towns. I hate it when idiots try to to get in before their lane ends blocking all the cars behind them, some of them being forced to stay on crossroads because of this. Also it slows everything down because everybody tries to eb nice and let idiots in . It would be much faster if just every car let one in but only at the point where one lane ends.
Girls who can't put their text messaging down for more that 2 minutes.
This. In general all people who are can't resist answering their phone/text in the middle of conversation. I avoid such people at all costs.
People who talk on phones while driving piss me off. I do not talk on my phone while driving.
Seriously, I think they should have their driving license invoiced for that.
Women who breast-feed children in the public
Another great one. It should be forbidden. Distasteful.
When people attribute good things to God and bad things to Satan.
Yes. And anything religious for that matter. I fucking hate when people ruin perfect rational interesting conversations by inserting random religious stuff there.

loooooooooooooooool i didnt think you were this humurous chill. thats hilariously true, if its an old lady or any female in general i usually let them go first just to be a gentlemen (like holding a door), but then everytime i do that, i feel like theres someone outside watching me walk behind the female to see if the reason i let her go first was to look at her ass >.> which i WOULD look at but not when other people are judging what kind of person i am. kind of silly to think that when i walk past people on campus everyday that i will never see again. lol
