Never ceases to amaze me how people can ignore such dramatic signs thats something is wrong. and by wrong, you mean normal, right? what kid actually wants to go to school? either you're a huge nerd or an over-achiever. Everyone else would pretty much rather be anywhere but at school. Him missing 200 days of school isn't representative that the kid is unstable, it's representative of how fucking inept his parents are. I missed probably around 200 days of school too (29% attendance, however many days that is) and it wasn't cause i was mentally unstable. I preferred smoking pot, playing starcraft, wacking off, watching TV, or whatever else that i found more fun than sitting in a class where adults pretend to teach you something all day long. Something was terribly wrong - what kind of parents let you drop out of school at 15 years old? I wasn't ready to stab anyone, i just needed some proper direction and discipline.

It's really fun and stuff, but it just makes you mad so easily. FPS makes me rage too. But then again if im kicking ass its better than any other kind of pwnage. It all depends how emotionally attached you become to something. It can happen with anything really. But anger taken to the extreme to go murder someone, there are far more factors involved. The kid was soo dependant on the internet (a way to escape reality), regardless of what he used it for the sudden disconnection could be interpreted as loosing his freedom. They said he was pretty emotionless so its obvious he bottled up all his feelings about everything. Losing his outlet sent him over the edge. We're they influenced by video games to go out on killing sprees? Please enlighten us about the correlation and show some facts. Link it with the absences then playing at the internet cafe during schooltime as he would not be able to do so without getting caught for bunking would be my guess. So he'd still use net at home. Otherwise this story doesn't make much sense, but then I guess stabbing your mother 17 times over a video game isn't the most sensible thing in the world...

His problem was that he wasn't emotionally attached - he's completely sociopathic. You're all safe because you get pissed of in CS, but this kid didn't care at all. When the reality of having no internet and losing the life he knew was apparent he flipped out. The problem wasn't necessarily the content of the video game, it was the fact that his life was created around CS kid's a fucking psycho

Mora said something which just might help find the underlying reason. He needed proper guidance and discipline. Something he most likely didn't get from his non-biological parents; were it due to lack of respect towards them or from them, but the reason might lie somewhere in there. Poor household dynamics and the feeling of not belonging are main factors which lead to such compulsive introvert behaviour, and one needs to be careful when trying to violently rip of the last sanctuary from a troubled young man. Professional help in the methods of councelling and therapy should be sought first (independently by the parents without involving the child at first to get the right guidelines on how to behave, and then with the child or by sending the child to go in alone). Kid has issues, don't take away the only thing he wants to do without having something concrete to fill the void. But yeah, lets blame the game. Edit: Not saying her biological parents could've done any better job, or that there's something inherently wrong with adoptive parents. All considered, they should be better than the average due to the great will to get a child to nurture. Might've been just that it wasn't all peachy with the kid.
