In America, you could state something like, "Black men can get a lot of grief for going out, just look at the Klu Klux Klan! They are well documented!", but as an American citizen, I know that the actual influence of and support shown towards the KKK is incredibly small. | ||

No, I went all around Seoul and Jejudo with a Korean girl quite often, actually. And I'm a white man, so that checks off your list of requirements for me to be harassed. I never heard anyone say anything, never saw anyone give us strange looks, and never felt anyone treat us weird at all, save one taxi driver who I ended up trying to yell at in Korean (failure but he shut up). Alternatively, I was more often treated poorly and heard 외국사람 everywhere I went when I was alone. NeverGG, if you look anywhere in the world you will more often see a white guy with an asian girl rather than vice versa. In fact it's typically a 10 to 1 chance that the asian person in the couple is the woman, so I don't see how this is relevant to the discussion at all. So yes, I take my real life experience to be more accurate than the stories you've read on some website about how shitty their Korean experiences were. Also consider this: No one is going to write "I went out today and again nothing happened and it was a great experience" so you're most likely only going to read bad experiences. I guess Rekrul could solve this argument pretty easily. | ||
