I don't think it could help since it's incorrect. The slope goes from zero to negative infinity as you cross the boundary between the cliff on the left and the chasm. It goes from infinity to zero as you cross the other boundary.

It was a clever idea, though. My favorite so far. On the other site, on page 9, I really like the Schroedinger wave function submission - that is by far the coolest (and it's actually true!).
