What? Consider the general "area" interpretation of an integral: while you go along that straight line, the area linearly grows. Then while the function is zero (lets assume the bottom of the pit is at 0:-p), the accumulated area stagnates, then the straight part yields linear growth again. argh, why do i engage in things like this  | ||

I didn't consider the bottom to be zero. | ||
