In regards to the original topic of this thread, the early 20's are always a rough time to have a relationship because people still don't have steady jobs, have a tendency to move around a lot, and are learning the ropes of being a real adult with responsibilities. She has to understand that the relationship is going to be strained at this time, but it won't be forever. I think media and the shortened attention span of people nowadays fools them into thinking problems that require time and patience to resolve have to be resolved NOW. Think about it. The only thing that changed about the relationship was the distance. Once schooling is finished and both of you are financially stable and can afford your own place to live, distance is no longer a factor. True, a couple of years waiting until that happens feels like an eternity, but in the long term, if you happen to stay with this girl for the rest of your lives, what is a couple of years? It's a drop in the bucket. | ||
