makes me so so angry everytime i watch it.
That is one biased video. Italians were dirtier in that game. There was nothing wrong with the Italy game. I will admit that Spain game had a few bad ref calls.
A similar video can be made from Korean's perspective. If i recall correctly, two korean players had to put a head band to stop the bleeding on their heads.
What games besides the Spain game (and disputably/arguably) Italy game did you see such "immense" favoritism? I recall seeing none, besides 3-4 calls that benefited Korea in the aforementioned games.
I must say though that I really liked how the media in Spain ridiculed Italy when they made claims about biased refereeing, and then when it happened to them, all of a sudden Italy were right! XD
That entire tournament is a horrible memory from an italian viewpoint. They had a number of goals incorrectly disallowed in the group stage (there's a funny video of that), and there were some dubious calls in that game against Korea (Korea's penalty, Italy's disallowed golden goal, Totti's second yellow, the obstruction against Totti just outside the box, the fact that the referee (Moreno) has been banned for fishy shit). Ah, making excuses eases the pain. But nothing eases the pain more than the fact that the Karma wheel turned against Hiddink 4 years later (Italy-Australia 2006). Payback's a bitch, ey?
As long as no one says anything about how the entire history of football boils down to luck, I'll stop talking about and defending Italy now.
on a side note Real Madrid vs Barca on a week, Ronaldo recovered and dunno really how serious is this but Messi went off today by request, hope its not an injury.
Ya, El Clasico should be great; 22 world class players on one pitch at the same time.
Damn, all this WC history talk has gotten me all worked up; I'm already super excited for the upcoming WC! Italy has a weaker team than last time around, they lack creativity; no trequartista, no Nr10. The defensive part looks pretty damn solid as usual, but in order for them to have a realistic shot at retaining the title I think they either need a Totti comeback or for Lippi to stop his stupid grudge against Cassano. I don't know how much you Premier League fanatics has seen of Cassano, but he is pretty much single handedly making Sampdoria a top team. It is not a stretch saying he's the best italian footballer right now.
Zlatan would had been a huge wasted talent if he stayed in Serie-A , now that he went to Barcelona i wouldn't say that at all, he's were he's suppose to be. prolly right now in the top 3 best players of the world imo.
the biggest talent with Cassano imo would be Villa. that guy can be a legend if he goes to the right club , but he's staying in Valencia

That's pretty backwards imo. The players who stay with their original teams are the true legends even if they never win champions league. The history of football is first about the world cup and second about the national leagues. Champions league is originaly a money making scamn. Don't get me wrong, I love watching it because it's top class football, but if you ask me who won it five or ten years ago, I don't know and I don't care that much either.

yea but i was talking about legends in football as a whole, they may be recognize in their small teams but if they don't make that big step to a better team they will not get much exposure or recognition to be on "legend" status on the whole football scene.
every great player had play in their time at great teams, Pele played in Santos , before Santos was world-class team unlike today. Maradona, Cruyff , Di Stefano ,etc.
Im just dissapointed to see Villa waste his talent on a team that will not even fight for the CL or else. don't get me wrong i think Valencia is a good team but imo he can perfectly succeed on any top european team nowadays.
Roflcopter! This is too good to be true. Totti is back from injury and gets himself a hattrick within 30 minutes. XD 19 goals and 6 assists in 13 games. Football bonjwa indeed. ¨'
And Milan-Cagliari is a fucking great game. 4-2 thus far and Ronaldinho is kicking ass.
