Neville got 2 match(+ 5k[?] fine) for same kinda situation, so I think 2 match for that will be also pretty close guess.

Ah ok, that makes sense, though I would've liked to see him play vs Man Utd this weekend so he can get owned by Ferdinand.

Well they still need to get Ramos back from injury and decide on a permanent starting CB duo (Probably Pepe and Metzelder). Get them to play games together so they get a good understanding and I think only after that we can really see how good/bad their defense is.

they seem to give up a lot of goals from set-pieces

Overall their defence looks quite solid on paper IMO. Lassana Diarra is a severly underrated defensive midfielder. Still, we're not far enough into the season to really tell how their defence is going to shape up. Time will tell...
|
The real hole is in the LB. Marcelo is still a kid defensively, so I guess it will be Ramos - Pepe - Albiol - Arbeloa as LB when they want to cover that space.
|
The defence is fine enough IMO. At this point Metz seems far safer than Albiol (especially if you ask Valencia fans). His height will help with set-pieces, but more importantly he's the most experienced defender on the squad. As for left-back, who knows maybe Pellegrini can make something out of Marcelo or Drenthe. Marcelo has done a very good job before of keeping Messi quiet. If not, Arbeloa gives a solid defender.
We have won the CL a much worse defence before (think Karanka). I think width and the threat of being overrun in midfield are much greater concerns.

And Zlatan scores another goal, making it 3 goals in 3 league games. Good to see.

Rooney scores within the 2nd minute. Could open up the game and make this derby a good one.
Edit: Since I don't feel like double posting
Anyone know when VDS is coming back? :/

I know right? LOL so happy though!
What a game ^_^

I hate Old Trafford so much now. 6 mins additional time?? M.U is actually a crap team when they're not on that shit stadium.
|
wow such garbage refereeing as usual, giving the man u team 6 MINUTES Of extra time when there were NOT 4 but 3... wow.... as usual the refs are on their side...
|
LOl the refereeing was BS! Altough united deserved it for the great 2nd half
|
Tottally deserved but holycrap, that was quite a weird extra time xD. Only 5 subs, the sixth was during the extra time, so it was only 2:30 to be added, and not a single injury or anything. I wonder how the ref is gonna explain that xD

old trafford effect again!

Roma thrashing Fiorentina in the first half. :D :D :D :D :D :D Totti scored twice, and then he provided a magical pass to set up De Rossi for the third goal. Awesome performance by both the team and Totti individually. It seems like Ranieri is getting them back on track. I'm so happy right now!
Totti, the football bonjwa, FTW!
