Chelsea is actually debt free thanks to Roman Abramovich obviously but yes a lot of big clubs are in debt. Obviously every club in the world wants to be self sufficient and that's what we are trying to do.

I posted earlier about the Chelsea youth system that Roman built up and we won the youth cup and Carlo plans to gradute the youth players into first team hopefully to spend less and reduce costs.

I don't know how great the Bundesliga is in terms of competition but I think it'd be tough to say that Bayern didn't go through to the CL with a bit of luck, off side goal vs Fiorentina, sending off vs Man u and a French team in the Quarters.
I'm not saying Bayern is a bad side at all, i'm happy that they made it to the finals and hope it's a great game!

ESPN is reporting Thierry Henry signed a contract to play in MLS with the NY Redbulls for the current MLS season. This is pretty awesome if true. Henry is way more exciting to watch than Beckham.

trust me u never win a champions league without a bit of luck
it was no different when Barca won last year

And what precisely has the competition to do with it ? Do you want to tell me that Barca&Madrid have many worthy opposing teams in their league ? I doubt it if you look at the results so its hardly a reason which explains debts or the massive payment of players is it ?

Bayern Munich is the ideal model of every single club in the world regarding finances.

I don't like Hoeneß as a person, but what he did with Bayern is incredible.

No shit. It's absurd that he still hasn't been fired.

Many rumours going around about Fabregas leaving, most recent one being Fabregas telling Wenger he wants out, and all these $+player deals, e.g Toure + $ / Ibra + $ to Arsenal for Fabregas, fuck I think he may actually be leaving this time =/

Also Arsenal want Hugo Lloris / Gourcuff, good additions if Wenger can get them

Ibrahimovich could actually do well in the PL, (despite the fact that I, and every other person I have met in my life, hate him), would certainly be better than Bendtner, but he would have to come with a pretty large amount of cash to compensate for the difference.
Can't believe he was valued more than Etoo in their transfer.

Arsenal also offered like 15m to Liverpool for Pepe Reina and I think they are interested in Adler too.

They're really getting desperate for a good goalkeeper. :p

And they should be, time for Almunia to play in Liga B where he belongs. I think Arsenal already got Chamakh, the rest of the Bordeaux squad can probably be poached too since they had a terrible season and their coach left to manage France. Depth is so important to PL, Arsenal needs to buy like 10 players even if Fabregas stays. Same with Man Utd though.

Its frustrating why arsene simply didnt sign someone like jaaskelainen or schwarzer, look at Man U and how they improved dramatically when fergie finally gave up on Roy Carroll and signed van der saar once and for all.

I think Nasri is good enough to fill in for Cesc in the central playmaking position, but Gourcuff would be absolutely perfect, I dont know whether we have the pulling power to get him though. We dont need Toure anymore considering Diaby/Song/Denilson have improved.

So that leaves:

1 world class keeper to last us good 5 seasons (Buffon??!)
1 solid defender to partner the Verminator
1-2 more attacking options to help out RVP (Chamakh)

Or maybe next season Vela will finally show us what he's about. It's such a shame for Ramsey, he couldve really shone next season.

a very true statement by Arshavin not too long ago saying that Arsenal need more experienced players if they want to start getting trophies.
tho he's the same guy that said " woman should not be allowed to drive, if it were up to me i would revoke all of their licenses" ^^

I can agree that Domenech is a idiot beyond all managers. Since Serbia was in the same qualifying group as the French I got to read alot of news from the French team as they were our main opponent, and it is incredible how much of a fallout he had with his players and still kept his job. Besides not getting along with the players, his tactics and decisions were only hidden behind the great talent that he had on the field, but even I could have put a squad like that on the field. Realistically France should not even be in this tournament, talking about Ireland getting cheated out by Henry, and it would have all been a blame on Domenech.

I think Domenech was actually suppose to be replaced before the qualifying or the mid point of qualifying but the French football association voted to keep him. My guess is that he has some ties in there and that its a pretty corrupt association, like most football associations in the world are.
good luck have fun!

I dont know ANYONE who shows support for Domenech, its a miracle he's still around. Didnt he also propose to his girlfriend on the night France lost in the 2006 final?? Also how can he ignore Nasri and Mexes?

Ibra is not leaving Barça unless he really wants to. And I dont really see that happening atm.

Oh and if any one follows Barça/Madrid i strongly suggest watching the humour program called Crackòvia, there is some guys uploading them with English subs to the tube. Of course it's not as good as if you understand catalan or spanish, but fair enough.

if arsenal get gourcuff and ibra + a good keeper, i wont care if fab leaves. we need to stop buying players that have wet dreams about playing for other clubs (aka shava and fab).
