Fabregas has the potential to be one of the world's best at what he does, and if it means to make another Barcelona AND Spanish legend at the cost of the three I listed, it is definitely worth it. Also, Xavi will be 31, who is to say they're not looking to nurture Fabregas into him ? Fabregas should not be underrated whatsoever in his maestro skills + the physicality he has grown to adapt to in the Premier League, overall as a complete attack-minded midfielder he is much more proficient than Xavi. (To be said, Xavi's passes and vision are exemplary. there's no doubt about that.) I think by adding Fabregas to their line-up, their gameplan isn't detrimentally affected in anyway, it even adds more depth to their ability to execute.

He expressed his desire to leave, due to limited playing time and that's true, as this year emerges Sergio Busquets (although imo, highly overrated) and Keita as possible volantes, Toure's place on the team just looks more and more bleak. He however, stated that he would not like to go to Arsenal hence the package of him + $ for Cesc seems unreal.

don't like that tbh, iniesta on midfield is absoultely amazing with xavi, would be wasting his talent on the wings ( though he's also pretty good in there )

Perhaps their synergy is much more effective than Fab+Xavi, then Cesc could always move up to AMF, which now consists of a much more mobile two top than this year's 4-3-3 formation. Either way, don't dissuade of Cesc's abilty to fit in with an already half-filled Spanish La Seleccion :D Yes, i think by now most of you can see that I'm a Fabregas fanboy, but his credentials speak for themselves.

Of course Fabregas would fit into whatever system Barca plays.

I think it's a bit premature to buy him now though, maybe in 2 years or something when Xavi is getting older and we see what happens to Yaya Touré. I wish Barca sold Busquets (hate that fuck), but I guess that will never happen.

You people are already talking as if Zlatan will leave. I dont think this is the case. First of he will cost a great deal to buy plus his huge salary. Henry will leave most certainly. The Strikers that are left are David Villa, Messi, Bojan if Zlatan would leave. Its not very good to just have 3 strikers. Especially for a club like Barcelona that has very many games / season. So I think he will stay. Plus I think he did a good first season in Barcelona, 21 goals in 42 games and 9 assists, and its not like he played 90 minutes of all games.

You're forgetting Pedro, who has improved immensely during the latter half of the season and effectively replaced Ibrahimovic during the course of the regular season. In fact, look at Barcelona's last four game in Li Liga during the course of May, both Pedro and Bojan started instead of Ibra, which partially confirms the fact that he has fallen out of first team favor. His calf injury during the beginning of April might cause him fitness reasons, but that's no culminating conclusion as to why he has come on as a substitute during the final games of the season. Personally, I think Ibra is largely overshadowed my Messi's dazzling display, but if he stays, I don't know how the frontline will be operable (look at Benzema, Higuain, Ronaldo: Benzema got the short end of the stick). Ibra has 3 choices : leave, sit on the bench, or beat one of the other strikers (yeah right, Messi) and get a first team spot.

What's the word on Bojan, are Barca very keen on keeping him?

I imagine if they're not super in love with him, they could just sell him and have Iniesta take his role in the wing rotation and Cesc could pretty much permanently play as the most offensive minded midfielder o_O

I'll watch it anyway and hope Milan don't play too defensive. I feel it they don't then it'll be end to end as we've seen bayern scoring quite well in the competition.

What do you guys think?

I think if nothing happens before the WC theres a fair chance he might stay (maybe sitting on the bench for Spain to Xavi/Iniesta for a month would make him think otherwise.)

It's not the lack of an english team, its because this time the defending champions arent in the final.

It'll still be a great match, Inter are actually great to watch, theyve actually scored a record number of goals in the league. Defending is what you do when you're up on aggregate and a man down at the Nou Camp.

My guess is Inter will win 2-0 because Mourinho always delivers in big games, and he'll know how to frustrate Robben who is by far the biggest threat. With Ribery out, I cant see how Bayern can score against Inter with their monstrous defence.

Im so hyped for the final and I hate it whenever I read something like ' boring final ' ect.. Even some 'experts' are annoying me with it

Lets just wait and see. I dont think this game will be a dissapointment
