Then we went null and eventually the locals got a fleet up to blob us. We engaged nano mode (massively outnumbered with no logis vs 2 scimitars) and killed two canes and a drake before gtfoing with the loss of a rifter. Cael thought he could warp back and get eyes + pull his drones and got burned down by a sabre and a scimitar. As with all nano fleets, this is where shit starts going wrong. We warped to him to get him out but just as we were landing he neuted the scram off and warped out. I called a nano off and the scimitar as primary while we sorted out wtf we were doing and the rest of their fleet started charging at us and the sabre bubbled and scrammed Johnny. We gunned it down, got out of point ranges and warped off. Unfortunately there'd been a miscommunication, I was reacting to Cael being scrammed (warp to him, primary scimitar) then Johnny getting scrammed (nano out, gun down the sabre) and was trying my best to avoid a pitched battle with a bigger fleet which had logi support so I checked everyone was clear then told people to warp out. It was only at this point Cael informed me that he was warping back to the fray, landing in the middle of their fleet and dying. So despite completely raping them with 250m kills and 500k losses we then took a cane loss. Still, very big win for us. | ||

So when I saw the scimmy and the sabre burn off alone (100km, the rest of the fleet stayed on gate), i figured it would be a good idea to let them get me so we could get an easy double killlllll. zoweeeellll (and then i warped back thinking we were fighting, 50 AU warp kinda fucked me over there) | ||

(edit : also the only reason i warped off was cause you guys were landing and I figured I might go recharge some shield, I could have easily stayed on the field to pop the scimmy (unless he burns out of point range and keeps healing the sabre which he didnt do cause he was a mentally challenged pilot), until his fleet started moving at which point i can freely warp or keep burning) Also karah, please clarify me how a fleet of shit drakes can burn 100k in 10sec | ||

No, it's not. It's the cost of putting 4b of stuff in a freighter. At some point it's just better to use RF freight. EDIT: on second thought I don't really know your situation, but can you explain why you're not using RF freight to protect against suicide ganking? | ||
