The soldering part was a lot easier than I thought. The thing was, since I changed the PCB to a PS1 dual shock, I essentially ended up paying 50 bucks for a Hori stick's case, which may or may not be a deal. The seimitsu parts are a huge upgrade from stock hori and so far I'm liking it more than my custom stick with sanwa parts. If anyone's curious, they use Seimitsu parts at Tougeki SBO and at Gamer's Vision, while I'm pretty sure Game Inn Sakura, Sega City, and most other arcades use sanwa. I picked seimitsu screw-ins for this stick so I could get the ones with the clear plungers for cooler artwork, but it turns out that they feel even more super lovely than I thought. Once I find a usb cable I'll upload a photo. | ||

After going between my sticks more often, I gotta say that I'm loving my Seimitsu LS-32 stick. The deadzone is a bit smaller on the Seimitsu, which may be good or bad depending on your style. As a result, tigerkneeing quartercircles is a lot easier, and charge buffering (especially urien's tackles) is also a lot easier to pull off. The back draw is that I get a few more accidental movements, but that's mainly because I've worn down the dead zone on my old stick. As for the buttons, my fingers last longer on the seimitsus than the sanwas. To me, the seimitsus feel more natural and a bit softer, but my room mate feels that the seimitsus are a lot tighter than the sanwas. Meh, I guess it's all up to personal preference. on a side note, I managed to bullet eater my way through Ikaruga for the first time! seimitsu powa! | ||

My stick still needs a PS2 -> USB converter.. either that or I need to find a fighting game for PS2 that ISN'T TEKKEN. I decided I'd played enough Tekken to last me a lifetime after I finished 3, but none of the shops here sell any good fighting games. asddfstggd | ||
