For laners: Depends. Just pick anything and look at their team, your team, and factor in the best strategy for you to play your hero from that. Storm Spirit is kind of difficult to play because he's heavily item dependent. You can conserve your mana and play him fairly intelligently with not too many items as well as he definitely has potential for ganking etc.

With enigma seeing as you're jungling all the time you can pay attention to everything on the map and look where you're needed most. Once you get your dagger if you gank a lane that has any type of nuke or disable you'll very likely get a kill or double kill. For laners: Depends. I remember when I started out my friend would kept telling me to "last hit only" and heck I had no clue what he was talking about...

i was playing a game with my friends the other day and i lost because my other teammate was too busy pushing a lane when i had to defend 1v3 with SS against chen PL and ES..that was annoying tbh ![]() so i just want to find a hero that can do well solo...especially against PL. BS maybe?

Yea. i generally -random when i play with TL so i can learn how to play more heroes. but i don't have the knowledge of TL with me when i play with my friends (we play gay 3v3's and what not) so i want to find a hero that can do well in those type of games :\ i was playing a game with my friends the other day and i lost because my other teammate was too busy pushing a lane when i had to defend 1v3 with SS against chen PL and ES..that was annoying tbh ![]() so i just want to find a hero that can do well solo...especially against PL. BS maybe? http://forums.dota-allstars.com/index.php?showtopic=33844 this helped me a lot you can look up skillbuild, itembuilds very nicely, even after you randomed a hero if you are quick you should have a rough idea what you should do with this hero you could try shadowfiend, even though he is not sooo easy to play and has no real escape mechanism, he can carry quite good and he can dominate a lane edit: 2 things if you are really new, sf is maybe not the best choice because he is quite fragile, it requiers some experience and the 2nd thing: some of the quides are quite old, only take the green ones and keep in mind that they all refer to 6.59 or some earlier version, not 6.60

I remember i used to get feast first on n'aix but then i got laughed at by TL and got called a noob. i was so sad ![]() the newer guides are generally not bad, but sometimes you have to use common sense so don't use rapier or radiance on cm or so =)

I'm still new to the game and I always tend to stop farming early but I've realized just playing more and getting used to what different heroes can do is so far working out for me. I've probably only played with maybe half the heroes available more than once but it helps to also try out the AI map (which kinda sux when the computer starts with either Extra Gold or Fast Experience because it totally destroys any kind of real game dynamics you can expect).

In pubs I realize that sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and accept a loss. Or you can play a carry and massively outfarm your opponent with superior laning skills.

it makes NO sense for him to lose attack speed so he gains almost nothing with the increased damage
