Did anyone see the denmark vs sweden game? Great game with a ridiculous ending, did they really rule it 3-0 in favor of sweden because of that idiotic fan?

wow, i didnt know there was a rule like that, what if it was a sweden fan that had a denmark shirt on? I don't think fans should be able to decide the outcome of a game. That punch by poulsen was really dirty, i hope he gets punished accordingly for it

I think it was the fact that they couldn't provide safety on their arena more than the nationality of the fan. Also the penalty that pissed off the guy would probably have made it 4-3 so not really that unfair to make it 3-0. But way to ruin a great game, yeah.

they SHOULDNT, but you need to send out a strong message against violence.

It's really scary as hell, this guy didn't seem that bad but what if he was spaced out on coke and carrying a knife? That could have been the case too. Scary fucking situation for a ref to ever be in.

Yeah it's also fortunate that the player who blocked the fan was a Denmark player. If it were a Swede that blocked him, a fight would have broken out for sure but the fact that 3 Denmark players immediately got in the fan's face, he backed down quick.

The fan is the most hated guy in Denmark atm. The major newspapers has dubbed him *the idiot' and such. Apparently there was an interview with him today, in which he obviously apologizes. Will try to find it..

Personally I found it kinda funny: not the fact that a ref was punched, but the way everyone reacted. National television around 22.00 yesterday was like an obituary. "The death of danish football" - yeah right, relax k?.

The judgement is fair me thinks. The game was not ruled like this because the fan attacked the ref (ok partly perhaps) but because he was able to access the field so easily. The guards were basically asleep (or drunk, in Denmark everything's possible) thus allowing him to run onto the field.

that's not a fair comment. he was a young player, played out of position. i am certain he would do well in italy.

i was reading about how ancelloti's biggest mistake in management was that he didnt' realize henry could play striker.
