If the thing went to court, it might have been months before it was settled, in which the FA wouldn't allow the transfer to go through as the Aug 31st window would close. Things have been figured out though.

ahhh beating chelsea to take the community shield, what a great start to a new season. Evra/Ronaldo such a deadly combination on the wing. I'd say Evra was MoM for me. I don't get why O'shea still plays, he's so slow and ineffective. Silvestre is not good enough to play vs good teams. Hopefully Pique/Evans will do well. If not we need another defender. I think Rooney really needs another striker who plays higher up than him, he's most effective coming back getting the ball and distributing it or running with it, not playing alone up front. It's one of the main reasons he was inconsistent last season, hopefully Tevez can be that true striker United needs. I like how Ferguson is easing the new signings in. Nani looked a bit lost, his boots might've had something to do with his first few touches. Chelsea didn't play great at all. Their midfield was disorganized and they were missing drogba. Malouda's goal was very nice, the touches he had on the ball and battling away Rio at the first time were world class, and that finish at the end was pretty amazing though it looked like it hurt him. Ferdinand really should've done better though. I think United played much better than Chelsea, if it weren't for their defense and Cech it wouldn'tve gone to penalties. Van der Sar was on fire, it was a deserved win. Looking forward to thrashing Reading and the debuts of the rest of the new signings.

The chinese national sports bureau forces the chinese football association to cancel the chinese superleague next year from january to august and somehow cram all of its fixtures into september - december with north and south divisions in preparation for the olympics. The obvious classic retarded chinese government decisionmaking it is because no one cares about olympic soccer because it's u-23 so it would barely affect the league. the olympics is held for a month in august, the olympics is held only in beijing, no one cares about the olympics anywhere else in the world except for china, it would completely ruin chinese football. I found this news amusing in a very hopeless and pathetic way. The government controls chinese football, the people who made this decision has obviously zero clue about football and would lay off players for 9 months for something that does not affect them. The olympics is not THAT big of a deal, it's a business opportunity that will bring in millions of revenue that the ordinary citizen will never see. It's humiliating to the intelligence of Chinese people how big of a deal they're making it here. This is so stupid it's funny. I hope people go to jail over this
