Yes you will need to redownload the game on Steam, in addition to linking your Steam account. Your old Destiny 2 game file will be obsolete and can be safely deleted on October 1.

My clan and I are going for the day 1 raid again. With a longer ramp-up time and the potential to come into the release of the raid fresh, I think our chances are better than they were last time, where we had a standin and a sick clanmate and still almost killed the deception in the third encounter before some of us got too frustrated and tired to effectively continue.

I hope that the raid is on the scale and quality of Last Wish. I think it's the best raid I've played in this game and I want something equally as wondrous and majestic. Likewise, I hope that the mechanical complexity is kept to a relative middle-ground where they are important and useful in aiding teams that struggle, but don't become onerous as I think they are in Spire of Stars and Crown of Sorrow.

The servers are on fire right now. You think they would prioritize the D2 errors rather than D1... Also hope nobody got rid if their tokens, or gunsmith materials as you can get up to 900 Light rather fast just using those.

Everyone do the Vex offensive as much as possible to grind gear, and glimmer. Plus it's tons of fun so you know Bungie is going to nerf the hell out of it and remove it from the game soon enough.
