Just started earlier today and caught quite a few pokemon around my house and in my court. I missed out on a bulbasaur because the game/servers/gps/or something kept bugging out and it eventually got away (even though once on my screen I caught it and the ball froze there), which made me quite sad =[.

Pretty much, or you group up with someone from the same team and attack gyms simultaneously. You can basically fight Xv1s.

Yes servers are really bad from time to time, especially in the evening for me. However, today it was quite good. Went out for a jog and catched about 20 pokemon until the servers crashed. Had the problem with the ball freezing a couple of times today, but sometimes the pokemon still was caught after I restarted the game.

Apparently downtown areas/shopping malls are absolutely insane, and in some busier areas people will actually just drop a lure in a mall.

For an example, you should wait until level 9/10 when you get a lucky egg that doubles EXP to evolve your pokemon. I went from level 9-12 in 20 minutes by evolving multiple pidgeys and rattatas at 1k exp a pop. Not bad.

You should see footsteps next to the pokemon's picture. They indicate the distance away. Three footprints means they are far away, and the fewer footprints, the closer they are. Walk around until you see footprints increase or decrease and that should give an indication of where they are.

3 days ago I wouldn't have been confident to give my parents a tour through the city in which I study. Now though? I've seen so much from the old parts of our city and the inner city I had no clue of before. That makes this game so really enjoyable for me. The last 2 or 3 days the exploring was so much fun. The pokemon were just making it even better. The fact you could place a lure in the city and 5 mins later you would have a meetup with all different kinds of people is just so awesome. Like Ingress this game has so much potential but if we are honest this game has the ability to exceed Ingress by far (and playerwise probably already does). This also gives me hope that this game won't stagnate like Ingress did. Even if it's just from an economic viewpoint Niantic and Nintendo would be dumb if they don't improve this game anymore. It helps me currently through a dark spot in my life and I'm addicted already. When they finally add the so far announced things like leaderboards, more Pokes and trading I probably need to buy 2 new phonebanks to run through the city the whole day.

Any interaction with other trainers? Like trading battling or even a friends list? Seems like the only interaction you'll have while playing this game is irl, gross! (Jk)
