That's exactly what it is, I used to play Jiggs so I can enjoy watching it.

It's more extreme when compared to the rest of the high tier characters though, which is why people hate it so much =/

It's not the best 12 players in the world, the qualifiers were all over the place (including japan, though I don't mind seeing more remen since watching him vs amsah taught me a lot about sheik falco) so a lot of players who could easily be in the pool have to play open bracket. I know there was a super shady midwest tourney that some players were talking about going to get a free trip to MLG until M2K singed up for it.
