Valve really shouldn't have forced their mirage over mirage_ce and since train is and always will be terrible they basically forced everyone into always playing d2, nuke and inferno.

I used up almost all my mobile data just streaming so I could listen while driving today lol. Ps petition tl to make a cs go section! 40k-90k viewers for twitch is so awesome during groups. Can't wait to see if a single stream breaks 100k during finals. Damn this game is catching a huge viewership fast

Additionally, players from groups C and D were forced to wait 5 hours for their games at the venue. They had to arrive 2 hours in advance and then wait 3 more hours because of delays. Zeus from Na'Vi said in a mini interview to ceh9 (former Na'Vi player and currently one of the streamers of this tournament) that they arrived to Katowice just today and had to go to the venue without any rest, and that they all are very tired (from both the trip and the waiting). This was before their first game today. Not surprisingly they played much worse than they usually do. Yes, I'm bitter because Na'Vi dropped so fast. Not even because of the loss actually, but because they had a group they certainly were capable of advancing from and couldn't show their best game because of circumstances outside of their control. And because of shitty format.

This means that a team can drop out by losing only 2 maps, or advance from a group by winning only 2 maps. Coupled with randomness of BO1, this means that anyone can win or drop right away, regardless of overall skill. Groups were usually round-robin, not double elim and that's more games regardless of BO1 or BO3. Also some LAN tournaments have BO3 in groups, like upcoming CPH Games.

I don't have a problem with the current "GSL" format, it makes it so there aren't meaningless games on groups. I can accept bo3 over bo1 but its just soooooo much games for 2 streams. Also twitch stopped working for me. I have some channels online but I upped resolution on 1 of them and now it says offline. I reloaded the page on other and it went offline too. And my brother next to me can watch them -.-'

Misirlou i feel your pain, Centurylink here in the usa. In the morning i could watch 2 streams on source quality with no lag, 4 PM hits and i cant even watch at low quality without lag on one stream. In BO1 one team picks and the other picks side? So once it goes to bo3 we will have knife rounds? Being able to be ct side first on CT sided map seems like such an advantage, but then with the map pool I'm surprised we don't see more mirage since from my small amount of pro cs knowledge it seems with good strats you can take rounds on T side.

Anyone can win in such format, if both teams are professional and it's not noobs vs pros.
