Haters can hate, but I know what I like. And who determines how it's "supposed to be played", if not the creator himself who implemented demcoracy in the first place? Despite it being said likely a thousand times... But, It's not supposed to be easy. Democracy is just a slow, boring version of Pokemon. The journey is what is supposed to be the fun and entertaining part of this experiment...not the end. All of the best moments from the game happened during anarchy. The highest peaks always happen after the low valleys. Democracy removes the glory of conquering a few ledges simply so people with short attention spans can see "something" happen. I was advocating for use of democracy for the Safari zone and that's it. Maybe for the puzzles on Victory Road, but it's way too early to simply give into the easy way.

The guy who made the whole thing added democracy and the option to vote for it, anything else about how it's supposed to be played is purely your own subjective view on it. You only end up reinforcing the post you quoted with speeches like that. On February 28 2014 18:57 419 wrote: "how dare people play game in way that i dont want to play" In both modes we get the same thing: A large amount of people trying to coordinate through a single game of Pokémon. The biggest difference is that the ~40% of inputs that are from spambots aren't as disruptive. That said, I would like it if the vote countdown was lowered to 15 seconds, to further promote co-operation and predictive inputs.

Well the creator already said that he is against democracy. The only reason why he added it is cuz of his partnership with Twitch. He had no choice. Just in case you didn't know, Democracy was added in Day 5. So in other words, Anarchy is how it is supposed to be played.

In the meantime, here's an interesting interview. “I think this system adds an interesting new dynamic to the game and hopefully means I won’t have to make changes to the game in order for it to be playable,” Says the creator.

Democracy was added after we got stuck in Team Rocket HQ for nearly 30 hours. You never get epic moments like this in Democracy, though. I remember everyone thought it was supposed to be a temporary feature :/
