Why haven't they tried to get Fly yet? it's a pretty good move

We are witnessing history here , I think this stream proves a few of things :

1 - This concept of live video play with audience interaction to control the character and accomplish objectives will DEFINITELY spawn a new type of game , the same way the concept of dota spawned the MOBA genre.

2 - No matter what happens in life , no matter how many years we add to our ages , us 1st generation pokemon fans will always come back to these great games , hell even the series ! I think we all saw Pokemon : The Origin , that was the 1st time I watched anything pokemon ever since Johto.

3- LoL can be beaten !!!!! :D

Watching them slowly get wiped by a ghastly because they have only a few skills that do anything to ghost pokemon(confusion on drowzee, and poison powder) is one of the more saddening things I've seen so far.

Yeah the fact that this is played on blue/red definitely makes it more exciting (at least for me) to watch because I almost remember everything about this game since I played it so much when I was young (I remember the game time counter being stuck at 255 hours). If the run was on a recent version I wouldn't be interested because I'd have no clue about how far they are into the game and how hard it is to beat.

Does taking the Eevee mean you no longer get given a Lapras? i must have completed blue 10 times on gameboy and have never connected the two...

the problem was that getting eevee filled their party at 6 pokemon and they didn't want to use the computer as well as risk buying the wrong stone which happened twice. They can still get lapras and have party space now

No, Eevee just took up the 6th slot in their roster, so they had to deposit something.
