Ledge of Doom, PC challenges, releasing pokes, The Tree, all wouldn't have happened with democracy. The good storyline it created was people rioting against it, but nothing brought by the mode itself and nothing that would have happened it this was the standard mode. There are TwitchPlays that started with Democracy, they are far more boring. I don't see how the fact I'm arguing it's more boring proves it isn't.

The reason why I found the stream somewhat fascinating was to watch whether a single car driven by tens of thousands of people behind the steering wheel can eventually reach it's destination as well as the hilarious consequences. I feel the same way. I don't care that democracy is probably a better system for getting through more precise mazes, it's not as enjoyable as the game being played with the original system
