On lower leagues: UD>Orc. undead was never stronger then NE, maybe UD>HU when destroyers could heal mana on fountain but that patch (only one when UD was overpowered), was abandoned after 14 days. Then they buffed HU and since then UD is weaksest race. | ||

I'm sure you know why you are banned though :/ The balance discussion in War3 is beaten to death but there are a few things that always surface such as the Orc vs UD matchup and some maps lending itself to mass expos behind countless towers. Though balance really only comes in to play when the skill gap is fairly close anyway. | ||

 Regarding w3arena/Garena, I am personally open to both. I made the poll for a reason though, and so far w3arena is winning. I could make another poll, if need be. We are still at the same player count, as I am unsure about Mats. @Mats: would you play on Garena or w3arena? BNet is sort of out of the question by default due to insane lag. @teddyoojo, same question: would you be fine with w3arena/garena? If both of you answer, I can add you and then we are up to 14. For now, it seems I will not be streaming, as 16 players would be ideal. Perhaps we could start discussing organization. For now, July 5th-6th is the winning weekend. I'm sure it's fairly easy to find or make a bracket for the tournament. We could use this very thread for everything, unless you guys think it'd be too bothersome? I am open to suggestions. Feel free to chime in! | ||

So, the weekend of July 5th-6th is approaching, so let's see what we got. The Tournament So far, we've got 13 participants including myself, as per the list below. I would have hoped for 16, but I guess either 8 or 12 can do. Is it possible to do a tournament with 12? 6 matches in the beginning, then 3, then semi finals, then finals.... Should work. If not, we can do 8. Reminder; List of participants for a WC3 tournament (so far): - Spaylz - 3point14 - jeeeeohn - Kabras - monk - Jarvs - duckk - capu - Capricis - McRatyn - JanDe - Tchado - Emerson_H Should it be 8 or 12? Vote away: + Show Spoiler + The Organization First of all, I don't think I'm going to cast, as I'll likely need to play. It might be better to save that for future tournaments, if this one goes well. Furthermore, I'm going to need everyone to reconfirm attendance later this week. It's probably better to organize the tournament on Sunday, so I will do a check-up in this thread the day before. For the record, we will use http://www.binarybeast.com/ to create the bracket, and you will be able to find it here. We can use this thread to report results. The bracket will be featured on the thread with a link so people can access it, and I will update the progress of the tournament. I think it'll give it a bigger sense of community.
