How to upgrade Iron fields: It's a bit better to upgrade your iron fields one at a time until they are all L3, and again until they are L6. After L6 it's cheaper to upgrade them evenly, just like all the other fields. The reason? It's because of the high fixed cost of 2 crop/hour for every iron level up. When that cost is added in, it is cheaper, per unit of increased production, to upgrade one field at a time to L3 until they all are L3, and then do the same until L6. ----------- Ascelon TL.net1 But consider that resources not spent are not earning, the additional 1 crop per hour consumption isn't going to be that big of a factor. ----------------- ROM TL.net1 At low levels the 2 crop/hr cost a significant overhead (AKA fixed cost), since the production levels you start off at are very small. From L1 to L3 you only raise your iron production 2, 4 and 6 per hour (from the wikipedia). If you upgrade 4 iron fields to L1, you are paying 8 crop/hour to increase iron production 8 iron/hour. If you raise 1 iron field to L3, you are paying 6 crop/hour to increase iron production 12 iron/hour. | ||

I was thinking of defending against the attacks with my phalanx but then I remember how many clubswingers Kazansky has. It would probably be a waste for me to block it when I can send my people away much more easily and make him waste 60 hours of his life. | ||
