The American scene is lead by a group of Mexican and other international players and is growing fast. However, it is also a very mechanical and precision demanding game, so it has a relatively high barrier of entry. The EVO tournament is very international, and disproportionately large to the size of the American scene. Expect a Mexico vs China vs Korea showdown, but you can't count out other players from Asia, Latin America, and USA.
SxT: will likely live its (probably short) life and be remembered as the game Capcom majorly fucked up.
Can't say much on the other games. 3D fighters and MK scenes have been largely separate from Steeet Fighter and Capcom games. BlazBlue could not get out of the shadow of Guilty Gear. P4U is the next "anime" game with potential of being big, after Melty Blood could not get enough traction *sadface*.

Yeah, Kusoru won Final Round this year and last year Tokido won CEO (in regular MvC3).
