The bans that were handed out were not handed out to everyone who bought the Norn cultural weapons. It was handed out to everyone who bought 50 or more of them. Giving out permanent bans which could be converted to 72h bans if you deleted every item that you got because of the exploit was their way of minimizing the damage. The probably had zero posibility to track the items once they had been salvaged/reforged and by "scaring" people into deleting them themselves they probably got rid of at least 50% of the items gotten from salvaging/reforging Norn weapons. | ||

Yeah, you're supposed to be able to rightclick party members and pick "Join" if you're in the same area but a different overflow... however, it has only worked once for me and my friend, the option generally won't show up. Hopefully they have/will patch this soon. | ||
