Schilling’s personal fortune is on the line with “Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning,” a fantasy-action game that hit stores Tuesday. Schilling told Reuters last July he had invested between $30 million to $35 million of his own money into the 400-person company he founded that made the game.

Hmm... interesting, he put a lot of money into it, and he still wants to see the people he is sponsoring to review it in a sense to be totally honest. He does have a career earnings of ~114 million though. http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/leaders_salaries.shtml

They are honest, and they just seemed to care so much about the gamers. It's just so awesome how they just want the gamers want to have fun. Seconded, especially the interview with Ken Rolston. Such an awesome guy! Originally, TB's end conclusion had me a bit on the negative side, but then I realised the storytelling is pretty irrelevant for this game. Wanking about hitting stuff with various weapons is that this is all about.

Anybody else would spend it on vacation homes, boats, politics or stick it in a bank vault somewhere. The fact he is willing to invest a sizable portion of his assets into a field he is passionate about with no guarantee of a return on his investment is really cool. While I think the game could be a bit more polished, we really need more people who are willing to sink the money into a project so that it's done right without cutting corners. Trust me, the consumers will speak with their wallets as soon as that actually happens.

I think they got along so well, their personalities are so diverse, and so over the top.
