You're assuming that these people don't know each other? I don't know about you but several people on that list have mentioned each other a couple of times in their stream so they must have some sort of contact with one another.
I don't see what the problem here is either, and how you came to the assumption that Mr. Day9 didn't write that OP himself.
Just you assuming all these things is just wrong, and seems like you're undermining the point of the event or something.

Lol, how is it disguised advertising? Funny how your brain can concoct a reality where letting VIG's voluntarily stream your new game is something really sneaky and "disgusting".

the OP was written by him.
its a bunch of guys excited for the game who decided to make an event out of it, much like a lot of people do when a new game that they are excited for is coming out.
So yeah it is advertising, but its not disguised.
I mean this is what the most famous Youtube let's players have been doing for YEARS, its not something new, only difference is its done by livestreaming, rather than uploading on to youtube every other hour..

I checked the demo out for a bit and when I found my first locked chest I was like...

the camera was a mess in demo too, can't really tell from TBs stream if it's any better. The areas TB and Cinderhelm whom I saw play this earlier, seem really..restricted? I mean, there's no "oh I'll wander off to the horizon to see what's there" it's all this foresty area that is limited by walls, is the whole game like that? Sometimes there's a cave or dungeon added to the walls, sometimes not.

The original post was done by him... and honestly I'm surprised something like this wasn't done for the Skyrim release seeing that EVERYONE was streaming it. And how is this a horrible advertising model? Stream it, let the streamers give their views on the game and let potential customers make their decision based on what they see. Seems to be a much better model than looking at biased as all hell reviews on various websites/magazines and coming to a decision based on those.
