There is nothing wrong with his ranking. When you are on a not so good team and you are the best player on the team, your stats go up. Not to mention he played competitive matches with a known cheater on his team. 6th place is perfectly fine. This kennys bandwagon is getting ridiculous.

i think CS is one of those games where if you're not putting in the time needed to get substantially better you won't really rise ranks that much because of how many other people are trying their asses off.

tons of people are trying to escape silver or gold or DMG or LEM hell, so it ultimately comes down to who's working harder at it.

Im putting in plenty of time and effort. Still forever "average" though. Doesnt matter what rank i play at im always that average fucker with a 1ish K/D. I have honestly played a game with GN's / silvers and the next MG / MGE's and had similiar performances :D

Do feel myself improving but i really need to spam some DM / aim maps, my aim is so pisspoor. I can hit a constant ~50ish in that target map people use for practice but it just isnt good enough Im putting in about 50 hours a fortnight at this point though, most of my freetime is going into CS XD. At least im ranking up and getting better slowly i guess. MG2 woop. I told myself the moment i hit DMG i'd start using the 3rd party matchmaking since before that its fuckin' pointless really.

Need to start putting actual effort into improving instead of just playing a shitload though. I dont play enough DM / Aim practice. I feel myself do the same bad shit over and over. I don't know enough nades. Play smarter not harder right.

lol? For one, calling Titan a "not-so-good team" is nonsense. Two, it takes a special kind of player to do what kennyS does. Just because you think his team is bad does not discredit his prowess as the best AWPer and the best entry fragger/best T-side player of 2014. In fact, for him to even do that well on a "not-so-good team" is almost a miracle. Three, kennyS performed at a top three level all year long, even before the French reshuffle and before he got teamed with KQLY, so your point is moot.

Yeah, he is a great player, def top 6, but there are obviously better players in 2014 and you are about to find out who over the next 5 days. Results do matter. Honestly when it comes to cs, nobody cares if you top frag every game but your team doesn't win the most important matches. The best players elevate their teammates as well. KennyS struggled early in his career for not being a good team player and getting kicked from verygames. Hes obviously doing better now, but he is not the best or even top 3 at the moment. Not sure why people need to get so upset about a 6th place out of like 150-200 players in top level cs right now.

Results matter but that's when you're analyzing teams. These are individual player rankings so they don't matter nearly as much as individual skill. If you were ranking football players and put Eli Manning above Dan Marino because Manning has two Super Bowls to Marino's 0 then you're an absolute fool. The point is to actually look at the players and compare skill and performances.

There weren't very many moments in 2014 that kennyS struggled. He's been the most consistent player by far if you've actually been paying close attention. There weren't five players that played better than him last year, and that's the truth.

The way I see it, HLTV's rankings are inconsistent. If you're ranking players and including a variety of different variables then sure, maybe kennyS might be sixth, but then pronax not even being on the list is a tragedy. If you're ranking players for technical skill and impact, then there is no way kennyS isn't top three.

First you can't compare cs to football. Second team results do matter because the best players step up to the plate when it matters most. Third, I can def look at player skills and performances and find players who performed on par or better than kennyS. This KennyS bandwagon is some type of thorin mind control garbage. KennyS plays the awp role better than anyone in the world. Historically in cs, the best awpers always have the best stats because their teams are usually built around making sure they are in the best position to do the most damage. Also, great awpers rarely die in matches where their team are winning comfortably, which inflates their k:d ratio in matches where the team wins. The awp also inflates the DPR rating. KennyS is a great player deserving of his 6th spot, but I'd take a player like JW or Get_right any day. Maybe 2015 will be his year.

For real, I am the last person here who thinks there needs to be a dedicated liquid csgo site, but at the very least they need to feature their team's streams.........

Of course I can compare CS to football. I can compare CS to any other team sport; the fundamentals in comparing individual players is the exact same - look at skill, performance, impact. Also, what? I don't agree with a lot of the shit Thorin says so you bringing him up is... what?

kennyS is a great/the best AWPer but what people don't realize is he is a beast rifler as well, and that's what makes him so impressive. Not only that, he clutches a ton of rounds for his teams, pulling 1vX's out of his ass. He doesn't just sit around and get frags from people running into his crosshairs. You can't possibly tell me he isn't deserving when he basically does anything and everything - it's a matter of opportunity, of which his team has not provided him with as many as JW/GTR, that brings him down, not his ability.

Liquid seems to often get so close to securing a round against C9 but just can't close it out.

Wow, and two nice rounds. Nice!

Now Liquid has a chance. Great pistol.

Whelp, Liquid have a lot to work on. Missed a lot of easy shots and seemingly played scared.

Yikes. I expected cloud 9 to dominate the past two nights so I am not too surprised, but I really hope that Liquid has some untapped potential that the new team support network can help unlock. They have their work cut out for them. Of course, C9 def wasn't going to let their guard down against a brand new team liquid csgo division.

Also, never put too much stock into a couple online cs matches. C9 just lost a few bad games against much worse teams earlier this week I believe.
