things like "enemy spotted" "fall back" and "go go go" are all very useful imo. you can find these radio commands on z x and c in game in pretty sure (default). Try it out.... | ||

Everyone will probably tell you the same, but play death match and maybe some aim maps. It really helps you with your aim and in some cases movement. | ||

Occasionally I'll have a mic-less teammate who uses it so I'll try to pay attention to it but its use is very limited because people use it so liberally, or just to cheer. Like "thank you" at the beginning of the round after receiving a gun, Go Go Go at the beginning of a round to get pumped... It's too quiet and "generic" to really get me to react to anything. If I hear "enemy spotted" I just don't have the time to go read who said that, then cross reference with where it happened, ask how many. People need to buy a mic, "enemy spotted" tells me nothing. The worst fucking thing is when someone says "Enemy spotted" and it means MASSIVE 5-MAN RUSH AT B and we only find out 10 seconds later after the guy's dead and he wrote in Chat "guise they're all B and I couldn't spend $8 on a microphone". | ||

That being said, I think if I did talk more, I probably would do better. But I just don't like to talk to anyone unless it's friends I play with or if the people in the game turn out to be friendly guys. If the first round happens and people instantly start bitching and complaining for asinine reasons, I just shut up and type my callouts instead. I don't want to deal with people getting pissy if I make a misinterpreted call or a wrong one. | ||
