You can. It's hard to work your way up unless you have a decently sized inventory, and obviously if you try to all-in and you lose you're back to square one (aka where I'm almost at right now xD)
But I think there was a stat that said if you just continuously bet on the teams with higher percentages, eventually you would make 5x your initial investment/inventory or something like that.
Overall, I do it mostly for fun. I love watching competitive CSGO more than watching almost anything since Broodwar, so it's nice that I can do some betting and win some skins in the process.

I think that was actually just some stat guy doing work and I don't think he really actively bet a lot, but then again I could be wrong.
You'll notice that if you read a lot of csgobetting forums and HLTV, a lot of people try to spread misinformation to try to get people to vote in certain ways.
That's why you just gotta bet on your own analysis and your own opinion. CSGO is SUPER competitive right now and anyone can beat anyone on any given day. That's what makes it such a great game to watch.

Yay Na'Vi won.
Fnatic probably going to wreck Na'vi and I have not enough expensive items to really profit off a pretty predictable win. Guardian is playing mad but the rest of his team are pretty heavy right now. Fnatic also have olofmeister so....
Most I can win is like $20, which might not be the worth the...$100 I'd have to put in to get stuff

The biggest key for playing with randoms is trying to make everyone on the team best friends. I always compliment the shit out of the whole team and everyone plays more in sync and better.
