There is more competition now than there were in the beginning of CSGO. I think LDLC surprised everyone this tournament.

I wouldn't really say free given how close it was in both semis vs danes and frenchies.
Miragee I assume you're talking about Fifflaren's 1V2, sometimes peeking is preferable to getting prefired anyway, you can surprise or catch the guy watching the wrong way, plus you engage the fight and have the initiative which is often good. Lots of people say you have the advantage when peeking in GO too, not sure why tho (maybe cause of the ridiculous movement acceleration). In his case he could have gotten flanked and died at about the same time anyway, he tried to get the kill instead which was okay imo

He had to buy exactly one second. One. Maybe peak but go behind the box again instead of spraying. Juking and making the oponents hesitating. In his situation he couldn't do it for long but he didn't need to.

If he had just peeked, one guy would have defused while the other would have waited for him and he had even less chances of winning. It's way easier to judge this kind of situation when you're spectating, but I think his choice was pretty good; they roughly knew where he was, so he had a good chance of getting prefired if he stayed there, so better take the initiative and try and get a frag and automatically win the round.
